"Look what I found" is usually used for games you got for a great deal (Hence it being in the deals section). That thread is for posts like "I got MUSHA for 99 cents!" or "I got Shantae for a dollar!". While this thread is for game purchases in general, whether it was a deal or not. This is also a nice way of keeping track of all the purchases you made and tally them up to see what you're spending monthly/yearly.
Okay. Thanks. It was just confusing me so I'd thought I'd ask.

Can't wait for it to get here! I loved the first two games which I'm at the end of Lost Age and recently finished the first one a couple weeks back.

I just downloaded Star Tropics II: Zoda's Revenge for NES on Wii Virtual Console.

It free after redeeming 150 Club Nintendo Points (Until October something). I figured I better get it while they were still offering Wii games.

I was wondering if you needed to play the first Star Tropics 1 in order to understand Zoda's Revenge?

September: I'll keep this post updated as it's early in the month that I'm posting.

So far, this month has been great. A friend of mine found a Super Nintendo at a yard sale with Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Gradius III. Complete with hookups and two controllers. He GAVE it to me, what an awesome dude. I've always wanted to have a SNES, and this one is perfect. It's slightly yellowed, so I'm going to try the H202 + Oxiclean trick and see how it works. But I'm ecstatic. The icing on the cake, is that my friend also taught English in Japan for a few years, where he met his wife through the same program. The two LOVE gashapons, and knew how big of a fan I was of SEGA. They included in the SNES gift four gashapons of the Sega History Collection, with tiny replica's of the SG-1000, Master System, Genesis, and Saturn. I'm only missing the Dreamcast, and the 32X/Sega CD. I'll definitely try and take some pictures for those that are interested. Anywho:

Hit up some yard sales, pawn shops, and a flea market this weekend:
Sega Soccer Slam 2 CIB - $2
Crimson Skies CIB - $2
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection CIB - $2
Odama with Microphone - $2.50
Sonic Riders - $2.50
Viewtiful Joe 2 - $2.50
Outrun Genesis - $1
2 Genesis Posters - $2

$16.50 for the month so far, and I'm trying to sell some stuff on ebay. But my high point so far is that SNES.

Year to Date.

Sold: $1082.47
Spent: $1979.69 - 82 Games

Ya know, I used to be pretty apathetic regarding the whole Universal Game Cases/Cover Project thing.... but then I saw them in person and changed my mind. They look damn slick. Picked up these at the local game store today:

Image

I asked the clerk if the store was printing the covers themselves, but apparently they just bought a bunch of retro games from a local guy and all of them were in cases like this. I just may have to pick up a few more.

Oh, and I was curious as to why the past owner went with the Mega Drive art for Burning Force.... Once I saw the American cover I figured it out......

I got Link's Crossbow Training for Wii complete in it's original cardboard case (was there a full plastic case release?) with the manual and Club Nintendo code for $5. No Crossbow accessory.

...good deal or no?

They are $7 brand new at Kmart in Australia right now, tend to sell for like $3-$5 loose depending where you pick it up.

In Australia/PAL (like Wii Sports) territories it comes in a full plastic case, my understanding most US bundle games just get those cardboard sleeves.
