Re: Games that Need Sequels
Great video guys, I loved all those games you covered!
I have quite the list of sequels I'd like to share and dream to see.
Jumping Flash- Keeping it close to the roots like you guys said, but with 1st person controls and numerous multiplayer modes and deeper levels/story.
Bully- Taking it to college with the Reunion DLC pack.
Manhunt- Let's bypass the censors and get that gritty snuff film gameplay back, with mic capabilities for taunting those gangs.
RPG Maker- With Next Gen tech and easy sharing capabilities, Robust editor and deep menus, Fan dedicated with easier user interface.
Deadly Premonition/Red Seeds Profile- Cult classic returns with higher production values and corrections addressed from previous fan feedback.
Culdcept- No need for much improvements, just give us new installments, servers, tournaments and access to download updated cards and decks!. The formula is brilliant and gives MTG a run for its money.
Lunar- XSeed, anyone can you answer all gamers in distress for a Lunar 3?! Please.
Catherine- A spiritual sequel, a new Nightmare and new puzzle formula. Possibly spawning a series in trend with new protagonist, and there own demons (puzzles) to overcome.
Saw- Imo not a bad new IP for Konami, the heavy hitters (RE, SH) haven't provided in years anything to go gaga over. So moving and progressing forward with this franchise wouldn't be a bad move. Keep the gore, torture and psychotic puzzles and you have a lil niche there.
Jade Empire- Took some time as the game opens up and climaxes gradually, but was all worth it with an awesome ending. Would love to see a return into this universe.
some others worth a mention:
Star Control
Fear Effect
Secret of Evermore
Intelligent Qube
Elemental Gimmick Gear
Timesplitters
Chrome Hounds
Could only wish..

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Great video! But I'm a bit dissapointed that a sega fan like Joe did't mention Shenmue 3. Also not sure if your aware but there is a Loco Roco 2 on the psp.

Great video as usual guys.
It seems that Sega is sitting on a big pile of IP that could do with sequels. The games mentioned aside, you also have Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Panzer Dragoon, Ristar, Wonder Boy and Alex Kidd to name a few.

oh my god how did I forget Skies of Arcadia. Sega actually hinted they were working on an HD remaster of that game unfortunately SEGA is just a bunch of cock teases.

Re: Games that Need Sequels
Panzer Dragoon Saga 2 preferably on the 3DS as that seems to be the best choice for JRPGS and I feel that the 3D would work well for it and it would be most likely to actually get a physical release. Hell just port Panzer Dragoon Saga in HD to the 3DS. or at least another Panzer Dragoon rail shooter. Come on SEGA it's like you are actually trying to run your company into the ground by ignoring all these forgotten games.

Re: Games that Need Sequels
I didn't mention Shenmue 3 because I felt it would have been "too easy" for our first entry into this subject. People would expect it. But I'm glad to see so many others mention it. Same with Road Rash!
XSeed is only a dozen or so (actually less, I think) people. I was asking them about porting Ys Origins over to the PS Vita or some such and they said if Falcom ever did that, they'd jump on it. They don't even do the translations, they just publish. I guess the translations are done at Falcom in Japan.Tektoro wrote:Lunar- XSeed, anyone can you answer all gamers in distress for a Lunar 3?!
