25th Hour shouldn't be on the list at all.

It's also missing late 2000s entries like The Hurt Locker, The Assassination of Jesse James, and The Wrestler, among many others.

Also, speaking of The Wrestler, where the hell is 2000's Requiem for a Dream? Shit list is shit.

Calm down, guys. If we all agreed on everything, the world would not be a very interesting place.

Plus...There Will Be Blood in the top 5?! That list is the worst!

Oh, Hey-sues; Audition scarred me, and I'd almost completely blocked it from my mind before checking that link. I had to walk away from it, because it devolved into torture porn; and I can't understand it making a list of anything other than the 'fifty worst/most horrifyingly obscene movies ever.'

So I should bring it to the meet for screening then?

I understand why they are going with the color scheme, but two hours of a monochromatic theme worries me. Plus I'm not a huge fan of a brown and black theme.

Again, I understand why directors focus on one or two colors to set tone (for example PAYBACK was all black and blue, GATSBY had Gold in almost every shot) but it takes away from the movie after a while.

I wouldn't even put it in a top 100 most horrifyingly obscene movies. It is absolutely tame compared to a lot of horror/gore/shock cinema.

Please, no—. If you want to empty a room, showing the torture scene is probably a good way to do it, though.

Would you call it a good movie, though? I don't think it's a badge of honer to be desensitized to horror. It's not even about the content so much as the cinematography. I don't make a habit of watching gore or shock cinema to begin with, but the excruciatingly slow camera work, and steady close-ups seem to serve only to make the torture zen. I think it's seriously sick, but I imagine I would say the same about most things you might deem worse than Audition.

I agree about Pilgrim, but Eternal Sunshine has been on my to-watch list for years now
oh Eternal Sunshine is worth seeing and a good movie, and I know it speaks volumes to some people, but I found it to be a bit overly manipulative and overacted. It's just not a great film, in my opinion.
A movie opinion where I agree with you I don't really like eternal sunshine either.
