To be honest, if an exclusive is not going to sell a system it should not be an exclusive (unless its funded by the console manufacturer) .

When some one tries to convince me to pick up a ps3 because it has LittleBigPlanet , Uncharted, GT, and more then those are the kind of exclusive worth mentioning. Its no use mentioning exclusives if they are not going to sell the system. Maybe there is an exclusive billiard game on the ps3 that has a small following but no one is mentioning it.

Back to the Wii U, I still say they should releases exclusive SYSTEM SELLERS outside the usually franchises to bring attention to their systems.

On the opposite side, while many people love to play Mario Kart I am not sure why no one made a competitor to it like Forza is to GT. There were attempts but its not picking up. Same could be said about Super Smash series. I picked Modnation, its a good alternative in design but it was kind of low on the fun factor.

We get it. You don't like Nintendo and want the WiiU to fail. Cool.

Well good news for you it was published by Nintendo so I guess it qualifies.

Of course they're worth mentioning. Any exclusive, good or bad, is a reason to get the system simply because you cannot experience that game anywhere else. Sure it may not sell systems by itself, but it can be enough to tip somebody over the edge into buy it when considered with other titles.

Um, Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed is a very viable competitor quality wise and a very serious competitor sales wise now (more serious than any other karting game has been against MK). It sold the most of any Wii U launch game thus far, and sold more on the Wii U than the other systems combined as I last checked. In total, I remember it selling about 3-400 thousand units on the WiiU by March. Around that time there was an install base of 3 million I believe. Most publishers would kill to have that kind of penetration on a new system.

I really don't get it. I feel like you're coming in here with the exact same arguments and completely ignoring any answer anybody gives you. Is the Wii U in a fantastic position right now? No. It's not in a bad one either. I don't think anybody is delusional enough to argue that it's doing well. It's going through normal new-system growing pains though and Nintendo missed the window to really push it which has caused them problems, but that doesn't mean the system is dead in the water.

Edit: I mean, I even sold mine. The W101 actually makes me regret that a bit. But it definitely isn't a must have system yet. The games are coming though. That Wind Waker bundle has caught my eye.

Just about every one of your opinions in this thread have been completely biased and I wish you would just stop. Especially since you're just repeating yourself over and over.

It is very obvious you just don't like the Wii U and want to argue against it compared to just having an open discussion.

Yeah the Wii U isn't doing great, we all know it. But just because something doesn't have a value to you doesn't mean it is worth mentioning ever to anyone. If you ask me LittleBigPlanet is awful but when someone wants a platformer on the PS3 I mention it because some people really like it for that system for a reason.

Wonderful 101 was pushed pretty hard for an original ip though. It's not supposed to be the new Nintendogs, but the figures are definitely way below what they probably wanted.

As for the exclusive thing being system sellers. I dont really get that point at all. What is a system seller to one person could be shovelware to another.

I was playing the Wonderful 101 demo last night ... this game is right up my alley. It's not easy, but it feels deep. It's also gorgeous.

Games should only be exclusive if they're suppose to be system sellers? Stop trolling.

Yes, I pre-ordered it.
I have long since learned my, "Nintendo actually means Limited" lesson.

If they say something is Limited Edition, I believe them now. So, if it's something I want I'll just bite the bullet. Been burned too many times due to frugalness.

Yes I agree... I have been repeating myself

@RyanTheSlaya

-Picking a bad exclusive is understandable if you are a collector. I was speaking about exclusive that would push sales or tip it as you said.

-I will take your advice and pick Sonic all star racing

-I am not ignoring any one's answer. People here intentionally or not made me believe Wonderful 101 was one of the games that was going to push the Wii U's sales. When it had low sales, everyone seems to be upset with me. Not sure why.

@Kdub

I come here to discuss my point of view on videogames. If i offended you I am sorry.

I just went and preordered the Wind Waker Wii U bundle. I waited just long enough, so I'm happy about this bundle and price drop.

I didn't preorder the game with the figure, but I think I might go back and do that. I want a hard copy of the game anyway, and I also want the figure, so I have no reason to wait and I'm not really sure why I didn't get it in the first place. Ah well.

Anyway, when the bundle is released, is there anybody else here would be interested in buying the digital download code from me? I have no intention of using it myself, and it'd be nice to offset the cost of the hard copy a little bit.

Are people even sure its a download code? Nintendo normally pre-installs the software in bundles.
