Blazing Lazers can feel a little slow for folks who are used to titles like DoDonPachi, but I prefer the slower style. When you die it was your own damn fault. As has been already mentioned, it seems to adhere to the stylings of the Soldier games, which were Hudson, but was made by Compile, so it also has some of their sensibility. The weapon combinations are fantastic, to boot, and they can vary by weapon. As an example, pair homing missiles with most weapons and you only shoot 4 missiles. Pair it with weapon 1, and you get 6 missiles.
