Oh so do I! We need companies to be able to take risks.

Yeah, sucks. Hopefully NA sales are respectable. It's had quite a few playable demo stations in the west at various events in the last few months.

But realistically it was never going to be a mega hit.

Yea. But I figured it could sell a few hundred thousand worldwide. We'll see!

Erm, well Ness was in Smash Bros which sold a lot, so I'm not sure if that's really the best example. Prior to Smash Bros no one did talk about Earthbound on any significant scale despite having great reviews.

That conclusion would certainly be up for debate.

Nintendo only shipped 30k copies and the weekly sales number is only for one day. I imagine it is doing about as well as Nintendo expected really. I wonder how many copies they plan to ship in NA.

Mad World sold even less didn't it? If I have my info correct I believe that MGR is P*'s highest selling game and it only sold a bit over 300k copies. Their games just do not sell well it seems.

Edit: I guess those are Japan numbers for MSR? That is all we have for W101 I believe so it is still a good comparison I suppose.

I think they're going to have a healthy number of units available. The way Nintendo has been name dropping and dedicating time to Wonderful 101 in North America, it feels like about as much time as they spent talking about Pikmin 3.

Wonderful 101 isn't out yet in North America. Pikmin 3 hasn't even been out for a month yet so we don't know the numbers yet.

Hopefully with the price drop, new Wii U owners give TW101 a shot.
