Smile: Boston Butt @ $1.29 a pound, and a case of Yuengling @ $13.99.

Frown: Have to wait until Saturday to enjoy them both.

I'm going to have my internist give me an x-ray to confirm it and give me a recommendation for a surgeon if he thinks it's worth fixing. If it is only a cosmetic issue, forget it.

Smile: Gnarly bruises, and my face saved a goal.
Soccer?

That sucks, man. I'm sorry.

Ice hockey. Took the back end of an opponent's high stick during his wind up for a slap shot (which my face prevented). It was all my fault for trying to poke check the puck from behind the guy. I know better than that, but it was a pick up game and I kind of goof off a bit during those.

His stick went through my face in the order of chin, teeth, nose. You didn't hear a crack, rather a *splumchhhhhhh!* and then there was that numb feeling followed by a gush of blood. I left a pretty darned good trail of blood on the ice.

As you can tell from my pictures, this isn't the first broken nose I've had.

And no need to be sorry as the only bad part about the incident is that it hurts like crazy when I blow my nose, and my allergies have been acting up. And thanks to neosporin my cuts have vastly improved and my bruising (unfortunately*) have subsided.

*I say unfortunately because I don't mind getting asked "What happened to your face?". It provides a great opportunity to respond with "You go first".

Kind of wondering how this is possible............

Frown: Got the HLA-typing (http://www.seattlecca.org/diseases/BMT-hla.cfm) back on my girls and neither are a match for Moira. Whether they match each other or have HLH is still unknown.

Smile: Apparently she has a more common HLA type and already has several potential donor matches from the registry. That process takes around 2 - 4 months, so we'll have a rough holiday this year, but I'm glad things are moving a long.

Good to know that was just a speedbump Stark, and that progress is still being made.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Speaking of...

Smile: Only a few mere minutes ago my wife said "You should really start meditating" aka closing your eyes "with me". I said "I'd rather pray".

She asked if I prayed to God or Jesus (we are both very spiritual people that believe in "Something" but not the Bible).

That said, I still say the Nicene Creed but told her, honestly, that I mostly pray to Saints. Sounds silly *throws arms up in a "what can you do" manner* but hey, I used to find comfort in the Tooth Fairy.

I pray to Saint Jude the Saint of hopeless causes (it's not as depressing as it sounds...kinda), Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini (first US citizen to be canonized by the Catholic Church), Saint Lucy the Saint of Clarity (aka the Saint of education, and clear thinking), and Saint Anne, the saint of fertility.

Ever the joker, when I told my wife I prayed to Saints she asked "Are there any bad saints"? Of Course I had to answer "The 1992 New Orleans Saints".

Yeah sometimes it isn't clear how important things are going to be. I assumed that if we didn't find a match with the siblings it would/could be quite the wait. But thankfully she has a common type and 2 to 4 months really isn't that long.
