Flash cards & state of homebrew on Wonderswan

Hi!

New to these forums, so excuse me if I'm posting this in the wrong section and just direct me right.

I have just gotten some Wonderswans (a Crystal and a b/w one) and I've begun searching for some flash cards (or similar) to load roms onto and hopefully also run some code of my own with. Does any such cards exist, like the cards for the GBA? Also, I know that the WonderWitch was a offcially supported homebrew development kit, but I have not found that much information about the wonderswan homebrew scene (outside of Japan) when googling. How big was it? Are there any activity today?

From my limited knowledge, you would need to get a WonderWitch to serve as your "flash cart" and thus only play connected to the PC (or whatever).

As for homebrew scene, I would think it's pretty much dead, but there are some games that is one particular game that is sort of homebrew that is considered to be very good - Judgment Silversword. I vaguely remember that there was another game in the same class as Judgment Silversword (homebrewish, but considered good, and very expensive) but I don't think it was a shooter.

i own one too would be nice to get some homebrew applications like emulators and such

There is a flash linker, but it's really old and uses a serial/parallel connection. The software is quite dated as well.

There have been plenty of plea's for someone to make a new proper flash cart, but there doesnt seem to be enough demand. You would need to fill our a pre order list to really entice someone to do this.

It's a shame too, because there would probably be more fan translations if there was a simple flashcart.

Who knows, someone actually made an updated neo geo pocket flashcart, so there's always a maybe.

It would seem like flash cards just aren't popular enough in Japan for these things, but I really have NO clue if that's the case.

The agonizing wait for a modern Famicom solution is pretty bad too. Most people have to use converted NES ones. Looks ridiculously oversize.

There is such a thing as the Wonder Magic Color, that is actually a flash cart for the WSC. I know that it exists, but it is extremely rare and I am assuming, extremely expensive. I would love for someone to make a new flash cart that just uses sd cards or the like.
