I haven't seen Summer Slam yet, was it good?

I do not follow wrestling any more but I watch the more important worthwhile parts just for fun and for old times sake. I watch Wrestlemania and the Rumble .

How does this Summer Slam compare? I hear some stuff about a guy called Bryan that has a good angle going on but I got no idea..

Although it is nice to see that WWE is pushing Bryan, Punk, and Ziggler to be the future talent of the organization.

Now, if only they'd give Kofi that kind of push... Jesus Christ.
Because Kofi isn't nearly as talented as the rest of those guys. He may be a good high-flyer, but that's where his bag of tricks ends.

But they gave Kofi new tights! He's ready for the co-main main even three-way match for the IC title brother.

I think it's really cool that because the big kid friendly faces like Cena and Sheamus are sidelined that WWE is starting to put more focus on people like Bryan and Punk, but is anyone else here starting to find Ziggler is getting kind of cold? I'm a huge fan of the dude's work, but I really think they dropped the ball on capitalizing him as a fan favorite lately. He had the big post-wrestlemania cash in (which was incredible), but ever since he got that concussion I've noticed that they haven't been giving him nearly as much attention like they used to. I'd understand if he's not wrestling on Raw as much because of the injury, but at the same time it's not hard to give him a 30 second backstage promo to at least remind people he's still around.

I'm not too worried just because the creative direction of the company has felt different for the past three months. Something new is brewing in the WWE, and it all started at Payback. Also, a lot of stuff characters have said on Raw and Smackdown lately actually have me thinking that for the first time the WWE may actually be listening to the internet fanbase. The way Vince has been acting towards Daniel Bryan on TV lately feels far too close to what internet insiders usually say he's like in real life. It's like Vince is aware of it and playing into it. WWE just seems really dialed in at the moment.

I'm pretty happy with WWE in the last couple of weeks. And I've been quite against the PG-era.

Yes! Daniel Bryan has a finisher now, the same move he used to take out Cena on Sunday. It's that wicked flying knee. He took out Barrett with it on Smackdown too. I wonder what it will be called.

You know he's not small time anymore when it becomes mandatory that he have a high impact finisher.

Props again to Cena. I bitch and moan about him a lot, but it seems he really did go against doctor's orders by having that match at Summerslam. He was determined to put Bryan over and give him his moment. That's cool

I read a recent rumor about Brock/Taker at Mania. It's just speculation at this point, but that would be amazing. Supposedly, the decision to have him beat Punk at Summerslam was to build him up for his eventual Taker match.

RVD feuding with Del Rio? Could RVD be the next Smackdown champ? Hope so.

Jesus, the product is starting to feel just a little bit Attitude era...just a little bit.

I've noticed a lot of people are saying that this year's Summerslam may be the greatest summerslam of all time. While I don't know if I agree with that, it says a lot about the quality of the show. This one's historic. I can't wait for the blu-ray and it's been ages since I've bought a WWE PPV disc.

I love that a lot of people have debated with match was the best, Punk/Lesnar or Bryan/Cena. It's an awesome show when two matches are getting 4 and 1/2 to 5 star ratings and people can't even decide which one was better.

"It was so bad it eventually led to his release."
Is this true?
It sucks that Jerry Lynn only appeared on like 3 or 4 episodes of RAW/Smackdown. I think he won the light heavyweight championship on his debut. WWF misused many talents during that time perioid, but I've got to ask, why didn't they give Jerry Lynn even a chance? He's one of the most skilled and underrated wrestlers of the last 25 years, or was, as he's nowadays retired.

I think Lynn is still working the independent circuit. He did appear on TNA Impact not too long ago when they had some ex-TNA Star X-Division match.
