Did not know there was a Shadowgate 64. I swear that game has been made for everything.

Snowboard Kids is a really fun kart racer/snowboarding game with some pretty creative stages, memorable characters, and catchy music. The sequel even has Diddy Kong Racing-esque boss battles. It's a blast.

Beetle Adventure Racing is a pretty excellent racer as well. Huge tracks with tons of shortcuts to find and lots of neat exploring to do.

I always liked Buck Bumble and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, but overall, I don't feel that the N64 library is particularly strong - the PS1 dominates it, in my opinion.

350ish games across all regions on the N64 compared to the 2000+ across all regions for the PS1, just by sheer numbers it dominates.

That being said the N64's library may be short, but many of it's games hold up much better than those of the PS1's.

However because of the low number of released games (even compared to the SNES before it with 700, just in NA) you are not really going to find many 'unknown' games (unless relatively new to the system), etc unless you start digging into the JPN backlog.

As fastbilly1 said, check the RB guides, it is what they were created for.

Any top 100 N64 list will give you all the games worth having. I don't think there's even that many worth having, but I excised sports and wrestling games, which many do (although I may have to give Blitz a try). For less common, try Robotron 64. Also, there's almost nothing good exclusive to Japan. Most of what didn't make it over here were baseball or majong games. The two exceptions are Dezaemon 3D and Sin and Punishment.

With 296 games in the US, and only a handful of ones of any note outside of that, I'd certainly hope a top 100 list would cover everything worthwhile. That's 1/3 of the entire library after all.

EDIT: I skimmed that Top 100 list. It's pretty good, but honestly I would've changed out some stuff. Bomberman 64 is there, but no Bomberman Hero or Second Attack? Mario Party, but no mention of either of the (much better) sequels? There's a few multi-platform titles there too that are simply better on other systems.

Also try Retro Sanctuary, which was my starting off point for all my collections (they also have rarer consoles like 3DO on there).

A solid list as well (probably better than the other one) but given its criteria it still leaves out some quality stuff in the name of being balanced genre-wise.

Space Station Silicon Valley
Easily one of my favorites on the N64. It's a really strange game with lots of mechanics that work really well together.

Buck Bumble
I played this game a lot as a kid and loved it. Fairly challenging and a neat looking world. The graphics are really outdated now, but imagine seeing this when it was released.

Aside from the titles mentioned by others, there's also Rakugakids, Wonder Project J2, Bakuretsu Muteki Bangai-O, and Puyo Puyo~n Party.

I dug Snowboard Kids a lot as a kid. Now, that I think about it seems like n64 was a very nice hub for arcade racers.
