Well I didn't either. But today you have something thats worth say 80 and then it is worth half of that. But not a huge deal.AppleQueso wrote:These reprints generally have little (if anything) to actually distinguish them from the originals.oxymoron wrote:Isn't the og print still going to hold more value?Jmustang1968 wrote:Well I am glad others get a chance to play, it kind of sucks as a collector when your games are devalued.
My collection being "devalued" has never really been any kind of concern for me. I didn't buy all the games I had because I was hoping to retire off of them someday.
Besides, if you're ever in a situation where you have to re-acquire some games you used to have because of an accident or they got stolen or something, you'll be glad to have them devalued so you can get them back cheaper.

Well, it's not all bad considering most people's SNES and Saturn collections have double or tripled in value from about a year ago.

Finding yourself trying to reacquire games that have shot up dramatically in price since you last owned them is frustrating. I'd much rather deal with the opposite.

I can agree with that. Sometimes the increase is so great (ahem..Earthbound) that cheap digital re-releases become a viable alternative.AppleQueso wrote:foxhound1022 wrote:Well, it's not all bad considering most people's SNES and Saturn collections have double or tripled in value from about a year ago.yeah, that's actually one of the things that motivated me to say that.

I see the Video Games Plus Online line, which is a Canadian site. Does anyone know if copies will be up on Amazon, at GameStop, etc. in the US? Would like to not pay for shipping

I just thought that losing $40 would be of some significance. Surely not a humongous deal but no minuscule one either. The fact that you said "But not a huge deal" kind of contradicted your statement previous to it. Idk it just kind of confused me so i thought i'd ask.

I guess we'll wait and see. Although it would be awesome and convenient if GS held it.dsheinem wrote:I see the Video Games Plus Online line, which is a Canadian site. Does anyone know if copies will be up on Amazon, at GameStop, etc. in the US? Would like to not pay for shipping

You're only "losing" that kind of money if you actually bought it at its peak highest price and were planning to sell it.oxymoron wrote: I just thought that losing $40 would be of some significance.
