My intro/gaming room.

Post by Unleaded Logic »

Hey guys!

I just wanted to say "Hi" and show my current setup for my gaming room. I usually start a new hobby every summer and this year I decided to break out all my old NES and SNES games from the basement and start playing them again. One thing led to another and before I knew it I had reacquired all my old systems I had over the years with tons of games to boot.

I have to update the pics abit. I added another metal rack that holds a PS2, Xbox and a N64. Plus I have other pics of my modern consoles as well.

I really enjoy the website! Lots of awesome articles!

Nice Saturn kiosk there.

That wire shelving is the way to go for game consoles. Makes it real easy to run your cables wherever you need them, even twist tie them to the wires so they don't get tangled.

Thanks! Just got it recently. Had a guy who had a few in his garage and he ended up just giving it to me. Very heavy though! Took 3 people to get it up stairs into the game room.

I agree with you on the wire racks, they work great. The second one I picked up only cost me 99 cents on eBay and fits the rest of the systems I use nicely.

Simply marvelous.

A whole room dedicated towards gaming... now that would be sweet.

Well, to be fair I use it for all my music studio projects too. However with the joy of all the new virtual instruments, all my big keyboards are stored away in the basement, unless I absolutely need them.

Eventually, we want to get the basement finished, move all th gaming stuff down there and just have an awesome entertainment room. I want to get a MAME cab for the basement as well.

I also want get one of those arcade cocktail tables with pacman on it for my wife. Maybe in a few years though...money sucks, lol.

Yeah, my wife has the Shinobi cabinet in her music room. Then a little game stuff in the living room, a little by the computer... it would be nice to have it all in one room someday.

Like you said, a basement. :D

Man I'd love to sit in that room with a couple of buddies on a late summer night and play games until the wee hours of the morning. Very cool setup.

Totally. This summer the wife went out of town for the week and 3 of my buddies spent a few nights plowing though a ton of old school beat em ups. Really fun and brought a lot of really good memories to mind

A few more pics taken.

The first two are panoramics....this gives you more an idea of the full room.
The 3rd pic is of my modern setup. 360, PS3 and a Dreamcast with VGA hooked up to a 32 inch LCD screen. My first HDTV that I picked up, I'd like to go bigger once I make more $$$.
