Which Sega Master System Games Still Matter?

Post by racketboy »

This question might be a little harder to answer as classic gaming aficionados, but what games for this system do you think are still worth playing to the average gamer?

Things to consider:
Has the game been ported/enhanced on a newer system?
Has a newer game in the same genre made it obsolete?
Does the graphics limit it?
How well have the graphics aged?
Is there something unique about the game?

Let me know what game for the console you think are still relevant in today's gaming market.

The obvious first example for the SMS would be Phantasy Star, but I'd love to hear what others you think are still worthy

As with every version, the SMS version of Bubble Bobble was special, It had two gameplay modes, near arcade-perfect graphics (As close as anything at the time got..), and overall a genuinely good and authentic experience.

Missile Defence 3D is a game I still pull out to impress people... That game is definitely still relevent.
