Alright, then. I guess that makes sense. The memory thing, yeah, you're right. He lost his memory in the Adamantium lacing process, if it's the same as the comics. Which happened a bit after WWII.Cronozilla wrote:That's one of the few things in the film that made sense.

In the movie-verse doesn't Wolverine lose his memory after getting an adamantium bullet to the head in Origin? Not that it matters as that is still, as you say, after WW2.Alright, then. I guess that makes sense. The memory thing, yeah, you're right. He lost his memory in the Adamantium lacing process, if it's the same as the comics. Which happened a bit after WWII.

You should download subs and watch it anyway. It's a good movie.
And if you like it you should also download Tropa de Elite.

Fox said they officially retconed X-Men Origins: Wolverine while they were developing The Wolverine. That storyline never officially happened now. Kind of like Ang Lee's Hulk. They're aware you've seen it ... but they're not going to stick to any of the information laid out in it.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I was (re)watching Resident Evil earlier: yup, still bad (probably worse) after playing the game.
In searching around for RE on Crackle, Wasabi caught my eye, so I ended up watching it as well. Pretty colorful, charming little flick. Nothing super special, but some pretty funny moments, and a very poignant ending. If I were a more emotional person, it would have gotten me pretty good. I found myself, through quite a bit of the movie, trying to place Hirosue Ryoko, though. At one point I thought it might have just been that she somehow reminded me of Utada Hikaru, but through a little investigation after the fact, I found that I know her from the commercials. (Not the movies this time.) A lot of commercials. Seems the only things she's really done in the last five or six years are commercials, and apparently I don't remember any of the products (though I've had the Hada Labo jingle in my head all night) but I remember her face. (Maybe that's not that surprising.)
Anyway, I was really curious before watching the movie what it was going to have to do with wasabi. Well, let me tell you all about a little thing I like to call, "pulling a title out of one's ass, and trying to justify it by adding something completely irrelevant to an expository/climactic scene." Actually I don't think I really have to explain it. That's what happened in Wasabi, and I hate it. It always makes me think of that movie with Donald Faison where he plays an aspiring screenplay writer, and dresses like Rerun from What's Happening!! (Kind of fuzzy on what movie that is. I think it stars Denis Leary as a detective; Coincidence? Probably.) At least make me think about the title. Don't club me over the head with it, please.
So, I'd recommend Wasabi for some lighthearted, if slightly misguided at times, fun. Not Resident Evil. Never Resident Evil.

I like the first RE movie. It's the sequels that were bad, and got progressively worse with each entry, IMO.pierrot wrote:I was (re)watching Resident Evil earlier: yup, still bad (probably worse) after playing the game.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
It's not horrible, but I find little enjoyment in watching it. I thought it was incredibly forgettable when I watched years ago, and I felt about the same way after just watching it again. Although this time I was a little upset that it had very little to do with the story of the game.

I'd say borderline terrible, and that applies to all the RE movies.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I think the live action RE movies are better than the CGI movies, which is really saying something. I don't know how you could fuck up such an simple formula so badly.
