Most of my Atari games were purchased at a semi-local record store called Bull Moose Music. I'd go about once a month and pick up 2-5 carts.
I realized today that I now own every single game they have in stock. Kinda sad as I now have to look elsewhere (maybe even.... the internet) for Atari games, but at the same time it's a sign that I've built a somewhat decent collection.

A solid 2600 collection is nothing to sneeze at. My local has tons of CIB 2600 games, and I'm so tempted, cuz I adore the console. Just don't need another collection right now. Feel free to PM me a list of high priority wants though Dave. Maybe I can help you out.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Thanks noise... But here's the thing, I really have no specific 2600 "wants"... I simply find most everything pre-NES fun and charming to play. I'll literally buy anything related to any Atari System, Intellivision, Tandy, etc. if I stumble upon it.
I have about 75 Atari 2600 games now, which is decent I guess. Most everything is very common of course.
Maybe it's about time I seriously looked into the 5200 and 7800? I own both, but only a handful of games for each.

Idk why but when I play digital games, I don't feel the same satisfaction/enjoyment as when I have a physical copy.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Finally registered my copies of SMT: IV and Fire Emblem and got my $30 e-shop voucher. First I figured I'll get Shantae since there's damn little chance of me finding it in the wild for cheap and after that....I've no idea.

Might be interested, no particular title though. Which games for the 5200 do you have so far? Great system that has near perfect older 80s Arcade games such as Robotron, Defender and has the exclusive to home console Space Dungeon. The 5200 sound chip is identical to an earlier Arcade game Tempest. Speaking of which, Atari Age released 5200 Tempest which is finally completed by the original programmer thirty years later if you ever come across a Trakball. This is definitely an Atari Holy Grail that can be purchased by anyone.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Maybe it's about time I seriously looked into the 5200 and 7800? Anyways I always liked that game (it was one of the few games I actually finished...ever.), so I looked it up online to see if maybe they made a second game or something. Then I find out a ton of people hated it! The hell?! It's not a mind blowing game but it doesn't deserve the hate that it got.
Now I remember why I don't listen to reviews lol...I mean some games that people just HATE are really good in my eyes...while games that people love...I hate. Everyone has different tastes but...idk it's odd.
Oh and this isn't really a "gaming" thought, but on the subject of Let's plays and such on Youtube...maybe it's because I have a phobia about looking people in the eyes but I hate when the video is just a guys face and shoulders and he just talks. It unnerves me.
I have hmm..65+ I put the + there because I know i'm missing a box or two of PS2 games...this is what happens when you pack up your stuff and move. I think they are in the basement somewhere...I know they are in this house damn it..it's just a huge ass house and well...the basement has...things in it. ICKY things that make me want to carry a baseball bat down with me...
Speaking of missing things...my original PS2 is missing as well I of course have my PS3 to play everything on but I miss my PS2...I found the freaking cables and controllers for it but not the console it's self. It's driving me nuts..
