I think people are being quick to decide GOTG. Give it time to season, see what else comes along, etc.
I know you said Uncharted 2 was your GotG. How long is each Uncharted game roughly? I am thinking of trying them soon. And what can I expect compared to TLoU?
Going to make an effort to try out more Western 'blockbuster' games. Gotta give Bioshock 1 + Infinite and the Mass Effect games a go sometime soon.
I am not sure if Uncharted 2 is still my GOTG, but it will certainly be up there/Top 5 when all is said and done. Bioshock would also be a strong contender.
Uncharted 2>Uncharted 3>Uncharted>Uncharted Vita
Compared to the Last of Us you'll find the same visual and audio polish, more action-oriented gameplay (a lot more chest high walls), and a strong Indiana Jones vibe in the Uncharted series. The storytelling is just about as good, but the kind of story is significantly different than in The Last of Us and much more "pulpy".

Yeah I think a lot of people feel the same way. I debated using one on my first playthrough. I didn't watch any of the videos (or spoilers) just copied/pasted the text. I don't feel that it diminished any of the fun factor for me and even, perhaps in a strange way, added to it. Must be the inner trophy whore in me

Yes, if you haven't played the Uncharted games I highly recommend them! Especially if you loved TLOU.
I never played Uncharted 3, but Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2 are great, great games.
No spoilers, but wow that ending. Also I'm not gonna say it's GOTG, but it's easily one of the best (Possibly THE best) balances of gameplay to story that I've seen this generation.
Joel and Ellie now firmly sit in my pantheon of favorite video game characters.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.
I think the game deserved a 8 and not a 10. Props to Gamespot for doing a honest review. Definitely one of the best of the gen but not exactly GOTG imo.

This argument deserves a 1/10.
He alludes to all the answers being in the Gamespot article that he didn't link to or write. Get off his back dude.
EDIT: I also finished this game about a week ago, I've not had time to write down my thoughts, but I'm looking forward to listening to the spoiler section of the 'cast.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
I usually don't like games that require rummaging for items, but TLoU does it in a neat way. The amount of foliage and debris would put most other post-apoc titles to shame. It's the sort of game that is far from perfect, yet manages to demand and receive attention because of its high production values and interesting action. I didn't like Uncharted but TLoU is a good example that Naughty Dog are capable of such great feats of interactive entertainment.
