Ultimate Dreamcast!
Hey guys, this is a project that I'm working on for Toktogul Import! It's dubbed "Ultimate Dreamcast." It is a Japanese DC, that will have a plethora of Mods. In this Log, I show off some of the lighting mods that I'm working on. Let me know what you think!

Thanks guys! I'm not sure yet, I'm trying to get all of the visual mods first! but check out the finished LED Chaser. It spins as the disk spins! Pretty cool if I do say so myself.

Nice update the dreamcast has always been my favorite system of all time n it's nice to see I'm not the only one who still appreciates the console

Dont mean to be a killjoy but i think the swirl on the lid really spoils it the way it stretches around the original logo, it barely resembles the dreamcast swirl. Might of been better to cover the original small logo completely and then center the light up right in the middle of the lid without the streched section.
Still way better than i could ever do though - the knight rider light looks awesome.

I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

Re: Ultimate Dreamcast!
I just want to let you guys know that this guy really screwed me over. this summer around August I paid him and sent him a Saturn and Genesis to be modded, I waited a month with no response and I finally messaged him on Facebook to ask what was going on and he gave me this long speech that he just lost his job and is in a lot of debt and he didn't have the money to buy the parts to do the job. I smelled BS but there wasn't much I could do about it so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. So it wasn't until November that he said he finally had time to work on my mods and I finally got my consoles back. Unfortunately they came back unworking. The Saturn no longer reads disks and the s-video mod on the Genesis was flickery and in black and white. The region switch was totally glued shut so that was useless. I messaged again on facebook to ask what was up with this crap and this is the awesome response he gave me >.>
"I'm sorry man. But that's how it's going to have to be. I need to start worrying about myself and what I'm doing. The consoles worked fine before I shipped them, so you're just going to have to trouble shoot them yourself. Feel lucky that I even gave you anything at all, as it could have been much worse. Don't ever try to contact me again. I'm pretty much done with anything on the internet."
Avoid Cody Thomas from Waco, Texas AKA Retrorepairtips! He is a scam artist and not welcome here

Re: Ultimate Dreamcast!
Holy shit man, sorry to hear that ninja.
Assuming you're not the soldering type, I suppose I could try to fix those for you. I'm not a huge fan of doing the genesis s-video mods anymore, but I've done a handful of them anyway. It sounds like cold solder joints, probably weak 5v connection for the transistor and the chroma (color) wire is probably loose at the encoder or elsewhere. If it's a model 1 genny I could be of assistance, I've never done that mod on a model 2 though.
PM me if you're interested. I hate mailing saturns, they're so fragile
I had to fix a local dude's saturn that he mailed out for a modchip (not to this guy, to someone else), it came back with the PSU literally broken in half (!) supposedly from shipping damage. I'm assuming thats the console with the region switch you're referring to?

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.
