That's fine.. You had a funny run-in with a random urban/southern black guy.. Nothing wrong with that at all.. Glad it went well.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I didn't mean to make a big deal out of it, but I've gotten more sensitive to people thinking things because of mine or others appearances as of late. I've had some issues with people assuming things about me, like a group of Hispanics who assumed I was Spanish because I greeted them in Spanish and that "a white boy with red hair who speaks Spanish has to be from Spain".
Also, last year before prom some friends and I got in some street races with a guy, and when we reached the restaurant we were all going to, we saw him there, along with the GIANT Nazi Eagle he had tattooed on his arm. He nodded at us and smiled, which led to an awkward moment of everybody in sight staring at us, seeing as that whole group, along with myself, was white....
Not sure if that second story is even really related.

No worries man. Say if the guy I met was a neo-Nazi I wouldn't have said "and he had a swastika tattoo on his arm" I would have just posted "a neo nazi liked my shoes".Forlorn Drifter wrote:I didn't mean to make a big deal out of it..

Personally, I'd be pretty scared.

Exactly. It's a survival instinct that's stuck with us from our evolution. We use quick judgment to sense threats. Except now instead of saber tooth tigers, we look out for thieves, thugs, cholo's, etc. You also can't always judge a book by it's cover.Luke wrote:CFFJR wrote: What's funny about this in regard to Luke is that I never trust a guy in a suit.
I can't say I don't disagree.
But yo, when a guy has the blood symbol (not true blood mind you) plus tear tattoos, plus others...you'd have to be an idiot not to think they are a blood. The bandana placement was only the cherry on the sundae. This isn't "He's black and his acumen in ghetto speak is top notch, so he must be a thug", the duder was a thug.
I mean seriously, you guys sound dumber than a bag of dumb rocks for thinking otherwise. Not a bag of hematite rocks, dumb rocks.
