I have every US-released Castlevania

Castlevania
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse
Super Castlevania IV
Castlevania: Dracula X (SNES version -- PCE version wasn't on TG16)
Castlevania (N64 version -- not officially called Castlevania64)
Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness
Castlevania: Judgement
Castlevania: The Adventure
Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge
Castlevania Legends
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Castlevania: Harmony of Darkness
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Castlevania: Mirror of Fate
Castlevania: Bloodlines
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Castlevania Chronicles
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (PS2 version -- looking to acquire Xbox one)
Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (Collector's Edition, 360 -- looking to acquire PS3 one)

25 games over 13 systems. I'm reasonably certain I'm not forgetting any of them. And I'm trying to make that 25/27 games over 15 systems. There have been times (Judgement, Dracula X Chronicles, Mirror of Fate) that I've actually bought the game before I owned the system to play it on. It's... my series. I can't really say anything more about that.

I've considered the fact that I don't have... whatever the PSN/XBL version is called. Nor do I legally own the Adventure Rebirth for the Wii. But... I'm on a retro site. I'm at heart a retro gamer. Games that I can't physically touch and hold in my hand are less real to me somehow.

I've thought about trying to do the same for another series but I dunno which one. I want one that has a similar number of games, but that also isn't THAT hard to acquire them all. I think the most I paid for any of these was Dracula X on the SNES where I dropped $60 for a cart only version. Mega Man is a thought, but some of those X2 X3 type games are reeeeally expensive. Mario is a thought, but man how do you draw the line? Do you include things like Mario Kart? Party? Mario Hotel? Final Fantasy is a consideration, but then you're getting into both really expensive AND really sprawling. Legend of Zelda is probably the best contender for my next one if I try to do it... getting legit copies of the CDi titles will be expensive though. To be honest, I probably won't do anything. I'm too busy tinkering with the hardware now to care that much about games.

Edit: I *DID* forget one that I owned. To be fair, I haven't given the DS titles as much love as I should...

That Konami collection of Castlevania 1-3 (and both Contras) on PC?
Konami Classics Vol 1 w/ SOTN on 360?
Kid Dracula on GB?

Anyway, are all your Castlevania's complete?

Hehehe I meant that I owned :)

--The PC one... I've never really considered PC gaming in the same vein as I do console gaming. But some day I might get that, as well as the Tiger Handheld one(s?... I'm not sure if there's 1 or 2)--
--Was not aware of the 360 physical release of SotN--
--Have to decide how I feel about Kid Dracula. Again, will probably get it some day. And maybe in some alternate reality where I have infinite money, a Haunted Castle arcade machine, or at least Jamma board--

And no, they are not. The disc based ones are, but I have never collected complete cartridges. I've always always called myself a gamer who just likes to collect. I'm looking into at least getting repro boxes made up in UGC's/DS cases though, I REALLY like the idea of The Cover Project... I just haven't had good luck finding a place to print their covers at 300 dpi. Staples, Kinko's... they all seem to want to stretch the covers when I try to print them.

Well I don't set out to collect an entire series..even though I want all of the games in said series...

That being said I suppose I could say I'm trying to collect every Mario game, Kirby game, Sonic game, Castlevania game, Resident Evil game and Tomb Raider game.

I do have all the Devil May Cry games save for the reboot. I dislike reboots in general.

As for the Tomb Raider games, I have every game except:

Tomb Raider Chronicles - Didn't even know about this till a few years ago
Tomb Raider: Curse of the Sword - Same with this
Tomb Raider: The Prophecy - And this
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - This one just looked stupid.
and the stupid reboot - I hate reboots and this one looked horrible.

And in some cases I have the same TR games but on different platforms like for the PC or Dreamcast.

I own them digitally on PC and on home consoles from the third game on. I picked up the Anthology today. Its very nice for collectors.

That could be quite a challenge, considering the huge amount of spinoffs and such.

Every Super Mario Bros. game is a reasonable goal. Those are the best games anyway.

Hell, most of the other "Mario games" have little to do with Mario anyway. He's just a stand-in, being the Nintendo mascot and all.
