Mega Man V for Game Boy. ::weep::
Also, Final Fantasy VII; telling my gamer friends I haven't played it yields about the same reaction I'd get if I told them that I only recently discovered that humans need air to survive.
Lastly, Space Quest VII, which quite probably will never be released (though I'm still foolishly hopeful).

Now that you mention it.

Gamecube: RE4 and Paper Mario. The sad thing is is that I've owned BOTH for over a year now and haven't even unwrapped them. Do I have problems?
Xbox: Psychonauts and Crimson Skies
PS: Final Fantasy Tactics. The one for GBA was so much fun, but I've heard the original is better.

This is kinda embarrassing, but:
Super Metroid
I've had it since last Christmas on the Virtual Console, and I also have a hard copy for SNES that I got a few months after. Right now my collection is so intimidating I usually just end up talking about games here instead of playing them.

Well folks, this topic inspired me to finally sit down and play D.
I didn't really like it. I'm glad I played it, so I can finally say I've gone through another classic horror title, but it really wasn't my cup of tea. I thought the first disc was alright, it was the second that killed me. That bloody circular room thing...lost an hour just switching rooms. Gah...play it if you've never tried it and you like horror games. Don't worry about going through it again, there's a little replay value, though only in an alternate ending and getting all the flashbacks(I got 3 out of 4...).
Still, makes me wonder about D2...

There are heaps.
But right now I just thought of Knights of the Old Republic, since there's a Star Wars topic above this.
Damn I can still get it too.

If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

My suggestion
Get a hold of fallout 2 it's amazing (download patch)

Seems like a lot of people have good luck starting with Layer Section (Galactic Attack?) on the Saturn. That's where I started. It's real light on the special effects, but it's a solid shooter with some really beautiful graphics, and it should be cheap. Pretty tough game, too, but not CRAZY or anything.Ack wrote:I kinda want to play some SHMUPS but I have no idea where to start.
Geez, the only game that comes to mind is Psychic Assassin Taroumaru. I want to try it someday, but not for 200+ dollars.
Ah! Also, Ikaruga and Hitman: Blood Money. I guess buying a 360 would be the best solution there. Bummer.
My game-related blog.
