I've had the launch edition pre-ordered on Amazon since E3.

I have one preordered as well, but I'm thinking about holding off until inFamous: Second Son comes out in spring and just getting an Xbox One this fall.

Jaggies are more a function of your DPI and how far you sit from your display device, rather than the display resolution.

They showed a lot of interesting indie games but I can't really say that's enough to get me on the bandwagon at the moment. Outside of maybe Watch Dogs, I can't say there's anything in the launch window for me.

Now when MGS5 and The Evil Within are out, then I'll probably make the purchase.

GT6 comes out in December also, so that will take up a ridiculous amount of my time. @_@ Definitely hyped for that.

So there was a video on Youtube , Sony shipped out PS4 model and in comparison to the PS3 slim model it was SMALLER.

Whats up with that? I always thought the ps3 was oversized .

I would easily buy the ps4 but all the games are on the ps3 . The price difference between the 2 consoles is too confusing.

The PS3 wasn't oversized from the start - the component size, heat they put out, and so on easily warranted the larger case. Newer versions have shrunk - the super slim most notably with regard to depth.

With regard to size relative to the PS4 though, the basic way to think of it is this:

The PS3 (and 360) were basically desktop PC level components, with regard to power usage and, in turn, heat.
The PS4 and Xbox One, outside of the GPUs, are basically using x86 hardware designed for tablets (can read about it here if you are inclined).

The upcoming systems can work with smaller cases and so on as a result, and shouldn't have nearly the issues with heat (RRoD, YLoD) that their predecessors did.

The Xbone is massive though. I think Microsoft is super concerned with the heating issues because of the disaster early on with the Xbox 360.
