Yup, just for + members for now. I think next week it is for everyone, but I'm not positive.
You were also able to sign up a while back on an email list to get a beta code. That's how I'm in; still not a Plus member.

Yup, I wasn't lucky enough to get in on the earlier beta despite leaving my email address. Just wasn't picked. Oh well.

If the price cut means these will be even cheaper on Black Friday, I am very happy.

Walmart had this bundle online, unfortunately it is sold out for those potentially wanting it sooner than Black Friday:

3G/Wifi Vita
4 GB Memory Card
Unit 13 Downloadable Voucher
1 YEAR of PS+ (instant game collection)
+ Some BS media accessory

for $199.

Getting 1 year of PS+ included makes that a great deal. Even if you already have PS+.

Price drop on the Vita is the best news I've heard in a long time.

Also I think I'll be getting one around Black Friday, cause I'm currently saving up for a trip I want to take near the end of October so it lines up pretty perfectly.

dsh, added you on PSN.
dsheinem wrote:yeah, I know they are low profile because of their exclusivity to PS consoles, but Killzone 2/3 and Resistance 2/3 have been some of the best FPS titles this generation, easily. I was disappointed in Resistance on the Vita, but I'm very impressed by Killzone's first outing thus far.
Is Resistance 3 worth playing? I thought 1 was just okay but I had to force myself to finish 2; I hated it.
I also can't wait to be able to stream PS4 games to this thing. That will be awesome :)
Like a Wii U but with better games.

One of the best single player FPS titles I've played. It was my 2011 GOTY, beating out Portal 2.

I am really impressed by the Killzone: Mercenaries beta. Sony should be advertising the shit out of this. It should be airing a few times during commercial breaks for each NFL game, each top 20 TV show that appeals to the 18-35 demographic, etc. This game could sell the Vita to US audiences, if they do it right.

Cutting the memory card prices in half instead of 20% off the 32GB would have been a big help too. And introducing a 64GB model. :P

Still need to download this. How big is the file?

926 MB

I'm constantly adding/deleting stuff on my 32GB card too. A 64GB card would be sweet. I'd buy a new Vita with sizable built in memory, too.

Incidentally, as long as it is the same account, is there anything you have to worry about when switching cards? I know that switching to a card that's tied to a JPN account can cause some issues/headaches and is an involved process...is the same true for swapping out memory on the same account?
