That's great for those who want it, but more ports? That's most people's complaint with the system, no? Some of the indie titles sound really interesting though.

Oh and the new memory card prices aren't much of an improvement. Meh.

I get that complaint most of the time. But a game like Borderlands 2 for a handheld is unprecedented. That's something the 3DS cannot do. It's huge.

Regardless of the announcements, the Vita needs more than BL 2 to up the sales.. The Price Cut and a bunch of indie games won't save it..

What a downer. I love my Vita. Bring on all the JRPGs, Project DIVA, and indie games. It'll never sell as much as the 3DS, but it delivers nicely on content that interests me.

I think some people think that 2nd place in the handheld game market means it's a failure...

2nd place when there are only 2 runners is last place after all. Isn't it doing worse than the PSP was at this point?

2nd place is not a failure but 14.2% of the market share is..

My issue with the Vita is that I don't really like how seemingly 50% or more of the library is just PS3 games. If buying one copy of the game meant you could play it on Vita and PS3 somehow, well hey, that would be completely different. But it's almost like the Vita just exists to sell multiple versions of one game at this point, which I have no interest in doing.

The memory card cost is also prohibitive. The fact that I'll be doing import gaming on it and having to buy multiple memory cards in order to do so is also irritating.

That said I do think the screen looks gorgeous and if it starts getting some exclusive titles after the PS3 has run its course I might buy one, but as a non-portable gamer I just don't see the point (I used to travel a lot and favor portables, but that's not the case currently).

I prefer portables. Makes RPGs a lot more enjoyable for me especially. So that's probably why I love the ports where as others are fed up with them. :D But I'm sure the Vita will get plenty of totally new games as well. It's gotten some. Just not enough to please everyone, I guess.

Japan and east Asia is where portables mainly sell.. Everywhere else the sales are fairly mediocre.. Why buy them when you can get the latest smartphone/tablet? That's not how I think, but the average consumer does.. And while I don't agree on your port issue with the Vita(Being that is one of the main reasons I purchased mine), I totally understand it and predicted these bad sales because of that point..

This is in place and it's called Cross Buy. Although it isn't universal there are a fair number of games that offer it. Games like Sly Cooper and Guacamelee for example.
