I love pre-New 52 DC Comics. Post-New 52 DC Comics still feels like we're in the introduction nearly 3 years into it so it's kind of meh to me.

I agree with both of you. I love DC and I love the New 52, but it isn't what I hoped it would be thus far.
It seems as if the New 52 would be a cohesive and organized universe set-up and controlled by "top men". The creators did not seem to have much pull instead they had to follow strict editor set guidelines. The books that did not have to play by the rules were (are) great: Wonder Woman (seriously - probably the best book of the New 52. Nothing like previous WW, instead it's all mythology), Swamp Thing, Animal Man, I Vampire, and others.
It looks like other books are following suit and doing their own thing - the biggest example is Nightwing. Nightwing has always been one of my favorites but always felt like "Batman-lite", now he is in Chicago and doing his own thing with a supporting cast not tied to the Wayne family. It's a perfect blend of Spider-Man and Batman.

I didn't like a few titles the rebooted, like Batman. Nothing wrong with new52 Batman. It's just the I wish they didn't reboot everything.

I found it odd that Batman was one of the ones who was barely rebooted. Almost every one of his past stories still exist in this new universe. That's a lot of adventures for a 5 year period.

I think Batman, along with certain other characters, are at the point where one can create any story about them assuming they follow the guide lines- following Year One specifically. As long as you fit into that Batman, its pretty much all good. I think that makes it to where it doesn't matter either way whether its cannon, as it could be some urban legend about Batman. Its alllll good.

I didn't like that they pretty much completely changed The Question's backstory.

Same with Green Lantern. In fact, a lot of the history that happened is still intact including Hal Jordan going evil.

But also notice that the Batman books and Green Lantern books were consistantly DC's biggest sellers before and after the New 52.

Green Lantern series was a big seller I think mostly due to the Blackest Night/Brightest Day arc. It introduced a lot of people to the Green Lantern series. Their other big sellers now include Swamp Thing and Animal Man.
