Let's Plays are most fun when they're a livestream and there's a chatroom or something going on with it. I bet it would be fun if someone (or a few people) were to set up a livestream of whatever the current Together Retro is and have a chat open for other racketboy members.

It doesn't help that these guys usually make me want to unplug my computer and burn it after 10 seconds with the incessant "jokes" and irritating voices/comments, but then again I have no sense of humor and am easily irritated.

I find that so many folks on YouTube, either intentionally or not, speak in a ridiculous "radio voice" and overenunciate damn near everything.

"HEEEEYYY this is BONE-Snap-DEEZ and I'm posting ooonnnnnnnnn RACKET! BOY."

I can't listen to that shit for more than 30 seconds.

The whole idea of this "Let's Play" thing just boggles me. I simply do not get it. I don't think I would be entertained by watching some random guy play a game and talk about it, I would much rather just play the game myself. A video review or something is one thing, but anything longer than 10 minutes I have no interest in.

I set one up for the Baldur's Gate play. Had 2 non-racketboy watchers through my entire play set up.

I feel you but some commentators can be funny to listen to. They're far and few between though.

They're nifty for a walkthrough reference sometime. Like I said above, HCBailley is one of my favorites and one I've watched entire games for (BUT, played along with them). Don't think I could just blindly watch an entire playlist for a game unless I have no interest in playing it myself for some weird reason.

That said, I'd rather there be no commentary usually too.

I guess I'm neutral about them. I don't mind them, but yeah I've certainly seen some horrible ones that pissed me off because I couldn't find certain video segments otherwise or something.

Also this goes for any video really, but I like to randomly check some out to gauge interest in games sometimes. But yeah I'm not usually watching more than 10 minutes or something.

Not really. When I watch a walkthrough I'm usually frustrated with the game and having somebody joking around and taking their sweet time can get frustrating.
