Help me remember this sega game gear game

Post by ninjainspandex »

My friend had this game back in grade school, you played as 3 or 4 ninjas and i think they all had special abilities. At first I thought it might of been a power rangers game but now i don't think it was.

I bet it's Shinobi, which was awesome.

I'd be surprised if he had to be told that Shinobi exists. Cause Shinobi is awesome. Or Ninja Gaiden, which also had a GG release.

How about Zool, which I just looked up now. Or Surf Ninjas, which looks just awful. How about those?

Maybe did they have different ninjas you could switch between?

Yes. Of course everyone knows Shinobi exists... but most don't seem to realize that the GG game was totally different, and you switched between 5 ninjas who each had diff powers.

Good point. It's been a while since I've played it myself, maybe I should pop it in again. I have a GG and one game, which is Shinobi. (Cause it's awesome, did I say that already?)

It's a pretty solid platform, it's available on 3DS VC (it has some bizarre 3D effects mimicking a Game Gear screen)

Still need to finish the last stage on it...

Man, y'know what would be amazing? If Sega released a physical 3DS compilation of all the GG stuff they're putting out on VC. I mean the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3/360 is probably the best retro compilation of this generation. Would be so cool to see them do something similar for Game Gear.
