That was one of the first articles I tried to read of her's, couldn't get through it.

But yes I agree all of Gawker stuff is awful. I mostly avoid Kotaku in general. Still the worst one was that dude who wrote that piece on all the girls he had sex with on his TMNT sheets. I still can't believe someone thought that was a good idea to post!

Because of the subject matter? Obviously the topic interested you if you clicked on it...what about reading it changed your mind?

I think they're fine on the whole. Yes, they publish stuff that approaches tabloid-level journalism at times in an effort to get clicks, but it's a tough world out there in games journalism and they've managed to have a lot of success with their strategy. I can respect that, even if I sometimes find some of the articles eye-roll worthy. On the other hand, I also like that they publish stuff that's on the periphery of game culture and report on some interesting stories from Japan, China, etc. I don't see that kind of stuff on most other sites...

this is why I read Kotaku. I honestly don't get the intense hate for that site a lot of folks exhibit. As a source for import news and silly "omg this is so weird" (or as you accurately pegged it "tabloid") stories, it's light-hearted and entertaining. Kotaku isn't my favorite, but it's def in the handful of blogs I keep in my RSS feed.

Back on-topic, I clicked that link but didn't see where I could actually buy any of these. So what's the prices? The Moogle looks awesome.

Related: I went to buy them, only to find out that Square-Enix had that copyright infringement out right away. Alas, my order was cancelled.

Damn, those would've been awesome adorning my collection.

Wha? That sucks! Maybe I can get ahold of the modified models and do Red X111 through Sculpteo or something... Figures the first model I've really wanted to buy in years would dissapear before I got a chance.

How dare those bastards stop people from making money off of their property!
Surely the blue text isn't needed?
