Dead Space 3 and a nice bundle of other games + steam codes as well for $5 :). This definitely brightened my day.

We don't usually have these kinds of conversations. Heck, I don't even watch TV shows where anyone talks about sex our anything around her to avoid the awkwardness after I watched the Star Trek TNG episode Hide-and-Q at my grandparents' house.
Same here. It's not like I can't watch a raunchy TV show around them but it's just awkward.

I would if she wanted to. Luckily she finds male strippers to be repulsive. She went to a Chippendale's for a bachelorette party and left within minutes. "It smelled like ass and Stetson".

Smile: Last night was a lot, a lot of fun. After hitting up a strip club, we came home at around midnight and played Rummy 500. I didn't get much sleep, and the $100 bottle of "champagne" was freixenet, but overall a fun night.

I watched BLACK SWAN with my parents and it wasn't awkward. They've never made sex seem like an awkward topic and we're not a family that is easily embarrassed. I actually embrace when my parents act silly in public.

Frown: Received a voicemail from my Father in law last night. He says "Hey Luke. We're going to pay you guys a visit tomorrow and plan on going out for dinner. Okay, bye".

I hate when people invite themselves over, especially when I already have plans. My wife starts teaching again tomorrow so we had planned on going out with friends for dinner followed by relaxing while watching Bar Rescue and True Blood. Seeing as her parents are weird-os and eat dinner at 7pm (at the earliest) my plans are pretty much shot.

...and we'll probably end up eating at some s#itty chain restaurant like Bonefish. I'd much rather cook and eat at home.

My cousin's in-laws do that to her all the time except they live a few hours away so it's worse because that means they stay for a day or two and ruin their entire weekend. She hates them so much.

On a side note I love Bar Rescue and I don't even go to bars besides the occasional sports bar for dinner.

Call him back and tell him you already had plans, and if he asked ahead of time instead of demanded you may have adjusted your schedule. I find that incredibly rude when people do that. It's just the same as when you want to lounge around the house and people just come over because they see your car without calling first. Demanding my time or telling me when I'm going to do something is a huge pet peeve of mine, and I don't let it fly.

I don't care for the 'but it's family' excuse either. Being related to someone does not give you the right to infringe on their time, or be an ass to them. I can't stand that shit.

I don't care for the "but it's family" excuse either and I HATE the "we're coming over" calls. And although I find that behavior incredibly rude, I'll zip my lips for my wife. You do not disrespect a loved one's family. This is a grin and bare it situation, not a put your foot down situation.

I'm no push over, but I don't want to start an argument with my wife over some trivial nonsense.

I love Bar Rescue too. Such an entertaining show.

And I feel y'all on the unexpected pop-in BS.

My in-laws rolled in yesterday. We were expecting them to only stay over for one night, but they decided to stay until tomorrow morning. Also, my wife's aunt showed up out of the blue yesterday and also ended up spending the night. No idea if she's here tonight as well - I hope not.

Of course I had a ton of plans but those are all shot now  .

This applies to you as well. I wouldn't let my family treat Jinx with any disrespect, nor will he allow his family to do the same to me. I'm not saying you have to be rude or disrespectful, but a simple "I'm sorry, but we had plans. Care to reschedule?" would do.

I was raised in a family where everyone got a certain level of courtesy, but respect was earned. My mother even cut ties with her own brother because he was disrespecting my father.

I understand not wanting to make waves, but it still baffles me. If someone is rude to me, I don't take it. I don't care who they are related to or what status they hold. I've been called stubborn and hard headed quite a few times though.

Edit: Same goes for Bones too. That's rude as hell.

Trust me, I'm as hard headed as they come some times. But!

I'm no zen master, but I always think "Is this worth my time and energy to get upset over?". In this case, no. Sure, they're being rude, but if I got upset every time my in-laws pissed me off I would be a basket case.
