Cave 360 ports to be localized?!?!??!!!!

A poster by the name of 'adversesolutions' over at neogaf claims he spoke to a 5PB representive at an promotional event in Osaka for Thunderforce VI & DoDonPachi DaiOuJoi Black Label Extra, and that this rep told him that the DDP port (and probably the other 360 Cave ports, too) will be localized for release in the West!

DOJBLEX and probably other CAVE ports for the 360 will be getting localized!

That's according to the 5PB rep at the DDPDOJBLEX and Thunderforce VI event today in Osaka. He says they haven't signed on the dotted line with the company yet but it will be officially announced 'at some point'. He said they will be trying to do the same for Ketsui and Deathsmiles.


Also, DDPDOJBLEX has slowdown reproduced within it (noticeable after destroying the rotating tower thing on the first part of stage 1) and they are working hard to maintain slowdown and not get rid of it.
Really amazing news if true, I was all ready to buy a JP 360, but if I can get local ports then i'll be all over this! Never had the privalege to play either Ketsui or DeathSmiles before, and more DDP is always a good thing :)

Apparently the same guy who goes by a slightly different name over at the shmups forum announced the same thing. I find it surprising if true, but at least plausible. Interesting.

Nothing is concrete until it is released. Remember working designs once was going to bring Radiant Silvergun to USA Saturn and PSX.

I would buy the Japanese versions anyways as they have not been butchered by some western developer. Also I hate waiting for a game to be localized.

The only reason that didn't happen is because Saturn died. Working Designs succeeded more often than not.

I think most localizations turn out really well. Shikigami being a notorious exception.

Well, if it's true, it'd be great for gamers (like myself) who don't do much importing.

Barring any Mobile Light Force style foul-ups. :lol:

Would be nice, but now that I have an NTSC/J 360, I care a little less than I used to. I will basically be paying a premium to play these games earlier rather than later, if the deal goes through. I can't see any Cave game selling with a distribution run larger than 3,000 or so copies and higher than $30 or $40. Anything else is far too much of a financial risk, most likely.

I really hope this happens. I need a solid SHMUP fix on my 360, but don't have the cash to shell out for a second console.

I pray for Raiden FIghters Aces almost daily.
