Videogames don't have the luxury of fitting into that niche. They're either good, or they suck. Sort of like how there's no such thing as food that's so gross it's tasty.
I disagree. The Sega CD Make Your Own Video games are so bad they're good. They're terrible at being "games," but they are fucking AMUSING to play with a bunch of friends drinking beer.
OH and I should add - Soul Calibur V sucks. Hard. I've played every game in the Soul series. The only ones I think are remotely fun are II and IV.
Street Racing Syndicate is surprisingly fun. I'm enjoying it more than Metropolis Street Racer which everyone seems to love on DC but I couldn't get into.

I haven't been very impressed with any SC after the 2nd one. 3 just kinda was a big disappointment, but 4 felt solid. Haven't played 5, though.

I give you Crystal Mines by Color Dreams, my friend:
It's a complete original Bomberman rip-off. But it's fun. Which is a lot more than the other Color Dreams games can say.
Dare I say that's the only enjoyable Color Dreams title out there? That's a fine example. Even the Wisdom Tree themed version (Joshua) is halfway decent.
