No DTS in the re-release of little big planet!!!???????

Post by loganm187 »

one week ago i obtained my local walmarts entire shipment of little big planet( the recalled version) i sold most of them and kept a couple to see if there would be any differences in the re-release besides the song edit. well, lo and behold i grab a new copy form work today and compare it to my original and there are 3 things that have changed!

1: the original states it has DTS sound the new one does not. can anyone confirm that the new version has dts or not?

2: the print at the bottom is a different size

3: they removed the "online interactions not rated by the ESRB" quote below the rating

do any of you think the original will be worth something? it was recalled and there are ways to tell form the back of the packaging. let me know! ; )

Considering there is differences on the packing it might be, But so many copies of the unedited version were leaked that I doubt it. I even heard by some people that the song that was supposed to be edited is still in there. But I've been to busy having fun and playing and to be honest, I've haven't been trying to listen for Quran lyrics. If there were big differences like edited levels and characters then I'm sure it would be worth more. But with things like patches and firmware updates nowadays, if Sony don't want you to see or play a certain part of the game they will remove it.

They may have just edited out the "offending" samples, but kept the actual music.

As for whether or not this will be worth anything... it will be, but probably not a whole lot more than the re-release. Depends on how many of the recalled versions are out there, and what kind of demand there will be for them.
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games
