Re: Erik Twice Reviews thread - Flashback: Motocross Maniacs

This week's article is about a small gameboy title: Motocross Maniacs, a silly but fun 2D racer that isn't afraid to be a game.

I know I'm extremely late but I wrote about the original The House of the Dead and it's still fun! :D

The House of the Dead has B-movie appeal

Hopefully with my exams done I may be able to update often again. At least I'm planning to!

You guys can complain, but this time you have no excuse. Unlike all those games that are hard to play even if emulated Seven Kingdoms has been made free to download and it's a pretty damn cool game! A game of civilizations with a focused boardgame feel that allows for real strategy even if running on real time, it's my game of choice for this week and I really recommend it :)

Simple, subtle strategy in Seven Kingdoms

Re: Erik Twice Reviews thread - FP2P: Civilization series

Post by Erik_Twice »

I participated in our collaborative column "From Pixels to Polygons", a series of articles where the writers at Snackbargames examine a long running series from beginning to end. Today's topic is Sid Meier's Civilization and we all love Civilization V.

It's a cool article so I decided to share it here:

I loved the article. Tough I think you should have talked about the later entries in the series since you weren't really old enough when the first game out.

By the way why the red screenshots?

OMG Civ III....nostalgic :P.

Next Mario Kart? hahahahaha. Don't you hate that series? (cause it's fun...and you hate fun)

Haha. It was actually one of the first games I played. I actually know more about it than about Civ III.

Fortunately, we pick writers depending on the article so I won't be there hating your fun.

I like shooters but I admit I didn't play any Toaplan games until recently. Truxton seemed a great start and I had fun with it so I decided to write about it for my next review:

Pokémon TCG is not a game I would favorably compare to Netrunner or Magic. But that’s okay! Sometimes you want to see games crumble and suffer and smash their mechanics as their designers plead mercy. And if you want to crash a game, why not crash a fun one?

Game Boy’s Pokémon TCG is broken, fun

Re: Erik Twice Reviews thread - Flashback: Pokémon TCG

I'm updating on a day-by-day basis as I had a lot of articles that should have been posted weeks ago. This also gives me the chance to revisit some of my older articles and give them some polish if needed.

So I decided to bring back my Castlevania article again. I didn't really change anything, I just lowered the score.

Is there a Netrunner video game? My friend bought it and it was fun.
