Complaints About the Forum?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I dont really have any complaints as such, sometimes there are periods when I find the threads in the forum are less interesting to me than others and I just end up lurking about and not posting.

I have no problem with the politics threads as I learnt long ago on a popular file sharing board that talking about american politics to americans just lead to trouble, so I just dont read them the same as I dont read other threads that might make me mad.

One thing that does get my goat is the number of fanboy console wars topics there are. Most of these are fairly mature discussions along the lines of "I like this platform becuase it offers whatever" but there are certain people that take the opportunity to insult other board members over their choice of machine. I think we all know who I am talking about.

The only time I use categories is if I'm trying to find an old post.
That's what I always do.
Yeah I figured everyone peruses the forums in their own manner. It is very common to just category hop, which is my way of doing it, it feels most comfortable to me.

Try ignoring those threads. It's easy. I do it.

I doubt they are aware of those
1) it's not heavily used that way
2) it's only viewable to registered members

I think this forum is pretty good, compared to some others I frequent.

The maturity level here is high, which I really appreciate.

Fine job, guys.

This is one of the only game sites that's not blocked at my office.

of all the forums i frequent, i post here the most because i guess it feels newbie friendly. For example I'm less willing to voice my opinion on the more hardcore sites.

I don't really see how that would've happened, but I'm sorry if I contributed to any elitism. I always felt this board was the gateway for entry-level-intermediate level gamers and collectors. Lots of knowledgeable and friendly people.

Racket - one reason the forum is so good (and remains so) is because you're dedicated to keeping it high quality. You and the mods do a great job. I don't think there's too much junk happening, but I appreciate you bringing it up.

IMO we don't need another category for politics/off topic because, honestly, it's pretty tiny portion of what's posted here. Not worth it. When politics or current events do come up, it's up to the mods and us regulars to help keep it civil. I think everyone's done that for the most part.

As for console war threads - eh. It's gonna happen on a gaming forum. It's the same situation -- we have to keep it civil. Usually, it is.
