Which games do you collect CIB

Post by Youngblood »

Hi all,
I've been having a dilemma in my collecting. Typically, I try to collect games CIB. I collect CIB for:
Sega Genesis
PS1
Dreamcast
PS2
Xbox
Gamecube
Xbox 360
Wii
PS3

Consoles I collect cartridge only:
NES
Commodore 64
SNES
GB/GBC/GBA
32x

Getting back to the point, I am going to buy a Sega CD and I was wondering if you collect them CIB. What I was going to do was get disc only for the games in cardboard boxes and complete for ones in plastic cases. What do you think? I generally don't go for complete if it came in a cardboard box as they are often hard to find CIB. Also, what systems do you collect CIB for?

I try to buy everything complete, especially on PC. The only loose games I buy are NES, SNES, N64 and Genesis (sometimes).

Everything Playstation and Xbox, everything made by Nintendo GCN-era and upwards (excluding GBA), Sega CD, and Dreamcast. Basically, if it came in a plastic case, I want it CIB. If it came in cardboard, I prefer CIB but I'm not willing to pay more than about $10 extra to get it.

I envy you not.

It's going to be hell trying to collect all of those CIB. I mean, thats one, two, three..... fifteen whole games you have to track down!

I feel for you, man.

Anything disc based, mostly because I don't want to worry about having loose discs. So with those I'm pretty casual on if they need manuals or other things.

The only ones I really care if they are CIB are Genesis and SMS games.

I collect all disc games CIB, and the only non-disc games for which I collect CIB are DS, SMS, and Genesis (excluding 32X but including Genesis games that came in cardboard, though I cheat and use an empty Genesis case for them).

You could possibly put the cardboard SegaCD CDs (I never knew any of them came in cardboard) in a jewel case with a custom cover.

I'm with Kdub on this. Carts pretty much take care of them selves. It's kinda irritating having to pay an extra 5-10 just for a cardboard box and manual.

Everything must have a box at least. Everything.

And I'll gladly pay a few bucks extra to make sure what I buy comes with a manual too, but sometimes that's not an option.
