Just picked up a few genesis games and...

Post by raztat »

Came home and put in Ristar and realized this is probably the best game on the genesis! Its so fun! I remember playing a little bit back in the day but never owned it. Picked it up for 7 bucks at the closest retro game store. Also got Decap Attack, Bubsy 1, and Shining in the darkness for 20 bucks. Not the best deal ever but not that bad of a deal. I'm mad cause my G/F and cousin hijacked the tv and are watching some chick flick.

Do you not have a mini tv for those occasions!
Always need a back up in case of takeover.

Man, your backup is my main. This thing's got like a 17 inch screen...and that's diagonally. Plus the power button doesn't work, I gotta use the volume button, and to turn it off I have to press both volume buttons twice. If I only press it once, it brings up the sales marquee. I also found that, due to its age, it can't handle certain 64 games, especially stuff from the PAL region. Still, I've had it for over a decade, and I just can't bring myself to part with it...

What else you currently got for the Genesis, Raz? I didn't know you had one.

I love Shining in the Darkness. I've gone through it at least twice. The thought of playing Shining the Holy Ark is what got me into console modding in the first place.

Good buy man, good buy.

^ Yeah I was just going to comment that Shining in the Darkness is the other gem in that list. Ristar is awesome, definitely, but make sure to give Shining a whirl. It's one of the few RPGs that I can pick up and have a blast playing no matter how many times I've played it in the past.
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games
