3/4 of the way I'd say.

I'd say 2/3.

At the end of Super Mario RPG, and Final Fantasy X right now. Next up with be Phantasy Star or Final Fantasy 6 (Haven't decided yet), and Lost Odyssey.

THE LAST STORY

10 hrs in after picking it up at GameStop on a buy 2 get 1 free preowned.

Good story with nice character work and Voice overs. Battle system is very frantic and almost hack n slash, although a few bosses have required a little more tactics. Agree with Exhuminator about too much hand holding. Most bosses, you are told by your team what the weakness is etc... Does keep the plot moving quickly though. Very much a "movie" like RPG, but so far I'm digging it.

I purchased this with Rune Factory and Tales of Symphonia for the Wii all CIB for $50 total after the deal. Not bad games for $16 each.

FIRE EMBLEM (GBA)

Last chapter of the game. Have to face all the mini bosses before the evil guy and dragon. So far the first and second mini bosses are kicking my ass. I think I am woefully short on party members thanks to permanent death.....or maybe because I rushed into every battle in the game like an idiot!

Anyway, this looks like it could be one that takes many tries for me to beat the last act.

I love the game and now I am going to have to buy and play every other FE title because I like it that much.
Need Hexyz Force and Class of Heroes 2 for a complete PSP RPG Set.....let me know your price!!!!

Yeah I really don't enjoy having my party members tell me how to beat every boss I come across. Indeed The Last Love Story has been a cakewalk so far and I'm 16 hours in now (chapter 28 I think). I sure hope the last leg of the game ups the difficulty.* Overall I'm enjoying it though, even though there's some amateur hour design at times that irks me. Good characters, nice art direction, crazy fast big battles, and a plot that doesn't completely suck. I'll probably post a review when I'm done with it.

*Granted that's coming from a guy who's favorite JRPGs are Vagrant Story and SMT: Nocturne.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I started with that game as well. Went on to play FE: Awakening as it came out a week later. Both are just so amazing really. I've never really been able to get into SRPG's, but Fire Emblem definitely has something that has hooked me way more than any other game has. Definitely plan on playing alot more in the series.

I'm so very close to finishing FFVI; I just need to beat 5 more dragons, maybe do a sidequest or two, then I'm on to the final dungeon. :) I'm also trying to get every character's level up to at least 50; is that the recommended level?

I don't think there's really a recommended level. Final Fantasy VI is so exploitable and "easy" (if you know certain tricks) that the game can be completed at a very low level.

I do like to grind though, and to do things the traditional way. I really spend more time "magic grinding" vs. level grinding - though of course when I grind for magic points I'm also gaining experience points. I try to end the game with everyone knowing the Ultima, Cure 3, and Life 3 spells.

Oh, and I just checked my last playthrough. My characters levels ranged from about 47 to 55.

What's fun is if you know how the stats work, you can have a high level character hitting the damage cap with level 2 spells (or level 1 if the enemy is weak). Which not only saves you MP, it also comes out faster.

Trying to decide whether to play Persona 3 Portable, Z.H.P. Unlosing Ranger vs Darkdeath Evilman, or Disgaea 1 (because I have Disgaea D2 pre-ordered). Or maybe Strange Journey.

I had anticipated playing Dragon's Crown as my portable game, but the story mode is non-existent and single player, while good, isn't really where the focus of the game is. Multi is where the fun is for that one. So I need a good single player RPG to play on the go.
