I always really enjoyed the PS2 remake. The music is especially awesome.
I agree...I basically bought the game for the awesome Virtua Racing port, but all of the other games were a nice bonus...except for the Golden Axe remake...that one just makes me sad.

yeah that Golden Axe remake sucks. A lot of the Sega Ages remakes were pretty cool though. I wish a lot more of them had been localized.

I went into a Final Fantasy VII coma for the past 3 weeks, so my game completions slowed down a lot. But late last night I finished up PICROSS, played through Icarus Proudbottom this morning, and since I left off at the bottom of the North Cave I know I'll be wrapping up FFVII tonight. Hat Trick!

PICROSS e - Not a lot to say about this really. It's a collection of logic puzzles that result in little pixel pictures when complete. I really enjoyed the last few PICROSS releases so I picked it up. You'll be able to tell from the Nintendo product page if it's something you'd be interested or not: http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/LI ... 02lDMfMvyA

Icarus Proudbottom Teaches Typing - More entertaining than educational, IPTT tells a humorous story while having you type out humorous passages. There are tons of RPG elements that have no point at all, like stats that increase and items you find. Definitely check it out, it's short and very entertaining: http://www.holywowstudios.com/teachestyping/

Final Fantasy VII (2013 HD Turbo Remix) - Final Fantasy VII, like many other gamers, has a special place in my heart. But you know what? It's still great. It has a great story, and I understood even more of it now that I'm older. The materia system is still one of the most flexible and creative magic systems in an RPG, and I had a lot of fun revisiting it. The new release on Steam has crisp models (even though prerendered textures are still pretty muddy) and achievements! I really miss JRPG's like this, so taking this HD stroll down memory lane was awesome.

I started Icarus Proudbottom the other day, pretty funny so far.

I've been considering FF7 again recently myself. Though unlike some of you who adore it, and some of you who hate it, I adore it and hate it. I've had a very rocky relationship with that game for many years. But, eh, every few years I get the itch to give it another go. Probably wait until Summer ends though. Fall is such a good time for RPG's.

Summer felt like the right time to go back since game releases have been pretty slow. Once I started I got hooked like it was the first time. Even though it still doesn't look amazing, the improved graphics helped a lot.

I've heard the computer version looks a little nicer and has skippable summon animations.

Ugh.

I have the Sega Genesis Collection on PS2 which doesn't seem to include Space Harrier.

I also have Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, but it seems it only has the Master System version of the game, which I already own.
