Nope, never saw it as "THE". I'm with Hobie in thinking it might because I was exposed to a lot of kaiju and kung fu movies growing up.

like I said when I started the thread years ago, I was about 8 or whatever - I think in my head it was supposed to be stylized so that the word "THE" looked like Chinese/Japanese lettering.

Somehow, I haven't bumped into this thread before. I 'bout damn burst a blood vessel in my brain looking for a "the" in the titles text. Then I thought noise was getting cute, or something, with "the" being in the copy at the bottom of the boxes. Finally, I read through the thread. Now I'm tired.

Did anyone watch "The Wizard" and when the announcer at the enterance to the final competition said "Ninja Gai-den Hai!" say out loud "That's how you say it?!?"
