Do you know how it differs from the DS version? I'd like to buy this game but don't know which system has the better version.

Only got psp to try it, from i can see from screenshots and some gameplay. The DS dosen't difer too much.

Spent about two or three hours with Charlie Murder today, it's like a mash up of beat 'em up classics. There's a level that plays like something out of Battletoads. Another stage feels right out of Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. There's even a shout out to Castle Crashers. All of this is filtered through that distinctive Ska Studios style. So there's a lot of rock music, ultra violence, and dark, otherworldly stuff like demons, zombies, and pacts with the devil and what not. And like their other games, they find creative, artsy ways to tell the story

It's a lot of fun, and more accessible I think than the Dishwasher games. If you've played any 2d beat 'em up in the past few years, this game is easy to pick up and play. The combat is really fun, and I give the game bonus points for having cool environmental kills which isn't something you see in every 2d beat 'em up. Grabbing a guy and throwing him into some spikes protruding from a wall to impale him is satisfying.

Looks cool, thanks for the heads up. I'll probably indulge.

I've been playing Choplifter for SMS for the last couple weeks off and on and also my newly acquired copy of Cool Spot for the Genesis. That game still holds up pretty well IMO.

Also played Hitman: Absolution over the weekend since it was free on PSN. I pretty much hate the gameplay. I set it to Hard because the description for Normal was "medium difficulty but your guns can always get you out of trouble" and I didn't want that easy out. The game is so much trial and error and timing it's ridiculous. Basically you get spotted from god knows where X number of times until you learn the pattern and/or simply get lucky, and sometimes you pull something off and you're shocked it actually worked. I strangled a guy about 8 feet behind a cop and the game was like "Good job! Level completed!". It also has that thing that seems to be a blight on a lot of new games, where instead of DOING something you press a button when prompted and watch your character do it (Press X to Strangle, etc).

The old Splinter Cells were my favorites and I'm always comparing games like this to them for better or worse, and this one did not make the grade. I've also played, I think it was Blood Money, and it was worlds better than this. It's a shame too because the cinematics, voice work, and presentation in general are amazing. It's just a crappy GAME.

After feeling very "blah" about anything other than TV and Anime lately (these things tend to be cylindrical. In another month or so I'll go on a movie binge. Hopefully in time for October's Horror Movie month.) , I finally felt motivated to try out Asura's Wrath.

I only got up through Episode 3, but so far, I'm digging it. The game looks great, I like the episodic nature and the number of QTEs aren't pissing me off. It does seem like it's going to be pretty short, though. Which just means I may actually get around to finishing it
