I just saw Ali G Indahouse. I usually love stupid slapstick comedies like that but It was quite stale. The two men having buttsex at the end was very awkward and unnecessary. I really love Sacha Baron Cohen acting though. C-

Many of you guys will have seen the films I am putting forth, but for those who aren't as into horror, there may be some titles you were unaware of. I'd recommend checking out any on this list you are unaware of, though their quality and value in terms of film will vary depending upon the title. Still, to my fellow horror enthusiasts, enjoy!

A 1920s horror film - Haxan
A 1930s horror film - White Zombie
A 1940s horror film - House of Frankenstein
A 1950s horror film - The Thing from Another World
A 1960s horror film - House of Usher
A 1970s horror film - Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
A 1980s horror film - The Stuff
A 1990s horror film - Audition
An obscure slasher film - Dementia 13
A haunted house film - The Changeling
A scifi/horror film - Leviathan
A foreign horror film - Infection
A cannibal film - Ravenous
A giallo film that leans heavy on horror - Phenomena
A zombie film - Dellamorte Dellamore
A cult classic - A Bucket of Blood
A Lovecraftian horror film - In the Mouth of Madness
Another exploitation film of some kind - Assault on Precinct 13

Ooh good one. I should have thought to mention it. Great cast and the odd soundtrack make everything wonderfully off kilter.

Ravenous is great. Agreed loved the soundtrack and Neil McDonaugh (sp?) and Robert Carlyle.

I borrowered a copy from our public library system here in Charlotte, but it does not look like there is a copy in Atlanta.

It is a good film, but I am not sure if it deserves a purchase. If you can resell it, however, you might consider "renting" by purchasing a used copy and then reselling it. :?

Yeah, that movie really stuck with me. It was pretty disturbing at times. Which is the mark of a truly great horror movie.

You guys are talking horror movies for October already?

I suppose I should start preparing. Vacation is in September, so I'll actually have the full month to watch movies this year.

noiseredux wrote:It's tough to call House a series anyway. I mean even II has little to do with the first. II is insane. It's basically an over-the-top comedy.
I have vague memories of House 1 and 2. I remember liking the first one, but the second one having no relation to the first totally lost me.

I'd completely forgotten about them until now. I was so confused by the second film that I had no idea they were up to a forth installment.

EDIT: All this talk about horror movies had led me to discover Scream Factory. Joy :D
