Well, update on the car situation.
Contacted the guy's insurance company today to see what is going on
They say it's gonna be until next Tues. until they can send an adjuster out to assess the damage. So I ask about getting a rental car, but they won't ok it; plus they say "We need to determine liability."
Are you fucking kidding me? The guy hits my parked car, and you need to determine liability? The agent explained that they haven't beem contacted by their client yet. Well, unless they go down to the jail to see the guy, I don't know what to tell 'em.
This is just hilariously fucking sad.

Can't you direct them to the fine Barview Hotel to speak to the gentlemen in blue about his whereabouts and condition at the time?foxhound1022 wrote: Are you fucking kidding me? The guy hits my parked car, and you need to determine liability?

I hate the cold. HATE the cold. This was mentioned before, but I wear long-sleeves to work every night and rarely take them off during the day. Unless it's over 95, I usually go out in long sleeves during daylight as well. My first year at Best Buy, I would wear long sleeves every single day and did so until we switched managers. The new manager thought I was stealing stuff because I was wearing skin-tight long sleeved under shirts...

There seems to be an odd theme of people suspecting you of stealing for no real sensible reason.jinx wrote:The new manager thought I was stealing stuff because I was wearing skin-tight long sleeved under shirts...![]()

I could maybe see it when I was in Minnesota, because I had a huge jacket on and I do look kinda suspicious in my street clothes. Can't understand how I would be sneaking shit out of the store in skin-tight long sleeves though.AppleQueso wrote:There seems to be an odd theme of people suspecting you of stealing for no real sensible reason.jinx wrote:The new manager thought I was stealing stuff because I was wearing skin-tight long sleeved under shirts...![]()
"Hey! What's that giant box shaped item protruding from underneath your sleeve there!?!"
"Uh, it's my uh... watch! Yeah, that's my new watch."
"Oh... carry on then"
Another (not so) funny story about being blamed for stealing stuff:
We had some seasonal hires for the holiday season at Best Buy one year, and one of the guys was obnoxiously out-going. Turns out he was a bit of a con artists and was just trying to feel out everybody's reaction so he could get along with them. He was the only guy I started to hang out with after work, because "he shared similar interests". Turns out, he was stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, and had planned on pinning it on me. When we were working late, he would use my employee numbers to remove things from inventory and then somehow sneak them out. Luckily, I was a goody-two-shoes and reported EVERY missing item every time it happened. Eventually they figured out it was with my numbers and we had a long discussion. I ended up aiding in figuring out he was the culprit, even though I had no idea up until he was arrested. I have a hard enough time making friends, now I have a hard time trusting the ones I do make...
;tldr: Don't trust anyone.

Ticked - a prolonged work issue resulted in some backdoor deals and backstabbing culminated today in one of my top producing reps quitting.
Smiled - he was the one doing the backdoor deals and backstabbing and then acting like nothing happened. Ding dong the witch is dead

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Saturday: Had two friends over (let's call them Diaper and Biscuit) to spend the night, since my mom would have to work on that day and she wanted to make sure we didn't burn the house down. We started by playing Fighters Megamix, where Diaper murdered Biscuit and I with B.M. Then we went to Golden Corral where I got to see my cousins. Then Vampire Savior, and after that we got some popcorn and Mountain Dew and went on Netflix. Diaper wanted to watch some anime I've never heard of and care to, Biscuit wanted to watch a good Star Trek:TNG episode, I wanted to watch a Voyager episode so we could make fun of it, and in the end we settled on Mythbusters. Afterwards we played Soulcalibur II and SSBM. Fun was had by all.
Sunday: Depression because the fun was over and my room was a mess.
Monday: I turned fifteen. My grandma took me to Chik-Fil-a for lunch. Went to Cracker Barrel with my maternal grandparents. Bought a bunch of candy and played Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection.
Gifts I got: Kreo Starscream, Pokemon X reservation card, Tank! Tank! Tank!, Ghost Recon Wii, American Express Card, 20 dollars, Watch, BB gun, Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection, two $25 Gamestop gift cards, $50 Best Buy card.
