What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Yes. I always spell her name wrong. But I think she's awesome.

I did see that version, and it was bad. It was yearsssss ago though, so I don't remember much.
Yeah, I'd just forget about it, as it wasn't successful enough to generate its intended interest. You know you'll end up seeing the new remake eventually, too. You may not like it, but you'll see it.

well yeah, that's a given. Eventually I see pretty much any horror movie that comes out  I was just saying I didn't like the look of the trailer. I think that girl was fantastic in Kick-Ass, but I don't really see her in this role personally. But whatever.

Hmm...hey Noise, October is rapidly approaching. I will likely try and watch a whole boatload of horror films like last year. But this time, I figure I would like to ask for some hidden gems that you and your wife enjoyed but aren't necessarily well known. I'd also like to set a few categories for your thoughts:

A 1970s horror film
A 1980s horror film
A 1990s horror film
An obscure slasher film
A haunted house film
A scifi/horror film
A foreign horror film
A cannibal film
A giallo film that leans heavy on horror
A zombie film
A cult classic
A Lovecraftian horror film
Another exploitation film of some kind

I'd just like you to make some suggestions in each category for films that appealed to you, if you don't mind.

Ds, Luke, Pulsar, and everyone else, please feel free to make some suggestions too.

I have several collections of older public domain horror films, so I figured I was covered there. I will likely end up watching Carnival of Souls and The Killer Shrews, along with The Golem: How He Came into the World if I can get my hands on it.

If somehow you haven't seen Re-Animator or From Beyond, I recommend one of those.

Well, I have seen Wishmaster, Hardware, Return of the Living Dead, and Dagon, but not the others. And I've also seen Re-Animator, though not From Beyond.

From Beyond is great. What about Dead & Buried (another take on Shadow Over Innsmouth) but by Dan O'Bannon.

Nope, though I have been curious about it for a while. Worth tracking down?
