Capcom announces new Duck Tales game, made by wayforward

Don't tell me that Chris Antista has failed us?
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Capcom announces they no longer have any in-house development teams around at all.

I played the first stage. First impressions are good. Music is upbeat, the characters look GORGEOUS, controls are tight and the whole thing played well. The boss fight was fun, and I enjoyed the various vocal quips from Scrooge and other characters as I was playing through the stage. I'm sure that wasn't in the original game
I played the NES game maybe once. I don't remember much about it. I played Rescue Rangers many more times as I was a bigger fan of that show I guess. Plus, I actually owned a copy of that game back then
So I probably won't be comparing this to the original Ducktales, just taking it as an old school platformer and enjoying it for what it is.
There IS a lot of dialog, but wouldn't you jump at the chance to fully make use of the original cast if given the opportunity? I'm sure they didn't come cheap. Get your money's worth I say. It totally adds to the nostalgia
The first level gave me a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling. Hope the rest of the game does too

You can skip cut scenes by the way, including mid level ones. Had to point that out since I know some reviewers were bitching about them. Watch it once, then never see it again

Played the Amazon stage, lost of my lives because of me being stupid, not the controls or design. So I started Transylvania. Unfortunately, I have to get back to work (on my lunch break, I work from home) so I won't finish it (it's a long ass level). Everything is fun and solid. With the new graphics this feels like a long lost Super Nintendo game.
I've played three levels now and I'm pretty impressed. Again, I can't compare to the original since I don't remember it, but the game seems good in its own right. It's the sort of game you rarely see these days

I think I might go ahead and get it. I have limited experience with the original since I played it 2 or 3 times at my cousin's house years back. So unless the game controls weirdly or something I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

Just kicked Magica De Spell's ass, finished Transylvania, took a swim in my money bin, and unlocked some character art with the money I earned in the level.
The Magica boss fight was fun, and the Transylvania stage music was awesome.
I haven't read a single review on this, but I'm not seeing any issues so far. It's an old school platformer and a pretty well designed one so far. It is what it is

I'm tackling the Amazon first

Best way to rack up your score is Transylvania first, and over and over again. That in mind, I don't know if the new version has a 1million + bonus ending.
