I bought Ridge Racer for the 3DS last year, but for some reason it only started to appeal to me a few weeks ago. I've been spending a lot of time playing it now for some reason. Not really sure why. It just didn't seem all that interesting when I first picked it up, now it just does.
Vroom, vroom...
Anyone have a similar experience?
Games you've had but only recently started to enjoy

I've had InFamous on my PS3 since getting it free (from the hack), but only started playing it about a week ago. Same thing, it just didn't appeal to me for a long time. Now I think it's pretty great. It is making me excited for Second Son.

Mark of the Ninja. Got it in an indie bundle a while back, and only recently started playing it. I'm really enjoying it so far.

Grid for PC, came out in 2007, and i really noticed its age when i saw the Concept Camaro and Concept Challenger

Exact same thing, except I started playing a few months ago. Since then it has gotten set aside, but I've really been wanting to pick it up again. I'm sad I didn't get into this game earlier.Lazer wrote:I've had InFamous on my PS3 since getting it free (from the hack), but only started playing it about a week ago. Devil May Cry.
Doesn't make any sense. For some reason I started backwards and bought DMC4 on the 360 way back when it was new, and beat the game on every single difficulty, cleared the Bloody Palace, etc, completely loved it through and through. Before then I had played a few levels of the original game... which I probably revisited another time, but still never really played enough to remember much. Also only played a demo(?) or a level or two of DMC3 back in the day.
Finally I've been on the HD collection for about a month now, already want to replay DMC1 and try to platinum it, and I'm working on that with DMC3 and about halfway into Dante Must Die mode.
I absolutely love this series and don't know why I avoided truly playing them all this time. Topped off with completely worshiping Capcom last gen and loving stuff like Onimusha, etc, so weird.
I also finally played my copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 this year, so that probably counts too.

Not super recent, but I had FTL for a few months before I went on vacation to the Bahamas. I got a nasty cold on like my second day there, and over the course of the rest of the vacation I put about 60 hours in to the game.

Skyrim is mine. I played the main story in 2011 and set it aside. I got it back out and played it way more just recently.

Red Dead Redemption for me. Now it's one of my favorite current-gen games.
