I was only too pleased to tell the asshole I don't smoke. Fucking dick.

:( School is back in session, so the nice morning summer traffic is gone. I will start having to wake up and leave a bit earlier now to miss the bulk of it. Ugh

Yeah, It is pretty variable. I know some high schools start after Labor Day (early September). I know if/when we got a lot of snow days we'd sometimes get close to a July dismissal. It's even more variable at the college level...

John, what kind of cruel Texas school sends their students into a classroom for the bulk of that oppressive August heat? Shouldn't they be one of the "start as late as possible" states?

Yeah it seems to slowly creep earlier. I recall back when I was younger starting in early sept and then last week of august.

July, August and half of September for Universities / higher education.

Yet if I go out for a lazy lunch from work I'm sure I'll see kids walking home from the high school wearing black hoodies and things like last year.

You've mentioned this before. I can wear suits in the Summer as they are surprisingly breathable, but covering my head in cotton during the summer would place me in a heat stroke.

In turn, I have worn short sleeves when it was snowing outside, so I'm a bit of a weird-o too.

Yeah, but who knows how long the insurance company will take to send an adjuster, and everything else. Ugh.
