Keeping bomb stock low definitely helps with rank.

Maybe so, but here, bombs are for dumping off on yet another ST-V Level 3 octopus boss reminiscent of Cotton BoomerangSpyke wrote:Keeping bomb stock low definitely helps with rank.

Hmm, the Octopus can be defeated easily enough using no bombs, even at high rank. A little bit of tap-dodging is all that's required. The main large bullet pattern is fired, simply tap either direction so that you're positioned between any of the incoming bullets. When the two following pairs of two small bullets are fired, they will miss you. Then repeat and repeat and repeat.ExedExes wrote:Maybe so, but here, bombs are for dumping off on yet another ST-V Level 3 octopus boss reminiscent of Cotton BoomerangSpyke wrote:Keeping bomb stock low definitely helps with rank.Had 10 of them when I last played, they all went to that. It was the blue laser-shower associated with the lightning shot. They don't do real well at canceling shots, but it makes the battle a lot faster.

But yeah, I don't bomb that thing either. Just dodge a bit and rack up some extra points.
It also seems to rack up more points.hashiriya1 wrote:foxhound1022 wrote:All I use is the Vulcan; I hate the lightning, it seems to just scramble about long enough to get me into a tight spot and killed.

I hated the lightning at first, but now I embrace it. It allows me to focus less on aiming and more on dodging bullets.
