iv got a genesis 1 that i just got from ebay with a Sega cd 32x and i have no wires i had got a nes power supply from my retro game store it said for nes/snes and genesis v1

Most multi plugs you can find at general stores don't output enough Amperage for game consoles. Most of them only put out 350-500 mA.

Not to mention that universal adapters are usually on the expensive side and you always have the possibility of setting the wrong voltage/polarity by mistake and fry your stuff. I never use them.
I am lucky though as around here there is an electronic surplus store that is just wonderful. I can get about any spec of adapter for 5-7$.
