I had the same experience. Terrible. I wondered how something this bad even goes into production :?

I ended up getting a couple Mayflash adapters like fast linked to, but obviously those won't work for Gamecube. But they do work great.

I've never ordered from them myself, but it looks like these guys have similar cables to the RetroUSB ones, albeit more expensive: http://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/sn ... /index.php

However, I've got a Pelican Retro Gamecube Pad I might be willing to sell/trade if you're interested, noise.

sure. I used to have one of those and loved it. I actually liked it more than my Hori.

What about a PSX controller adapter? This won't replace the SNES pad but maybe there is a PS1 or PS2 fighter pad that could be substituted?

If you are nuts like me, mod a SNES pad!

I have pretty good results with the Cube Joybox. In addition, the PS1 Flightstick which has limited Playstion support works with every single Gamecube game! The Blaze Twinshock also works well. The weird thing is the Digital Arcade Stick is picked up as both DPad and the Analog sticks! A sweet bonus when I set it up for Twinstick games. :D

I bought the G-tron four-in-one adapter. It looks similar to the Komodo adapter, but it also has controller ports for Sega and N64 controllers in addition to the NES and SNES controllers.

On the G-tron adapter, the NES, SNES, and Sega controller ports all work flawlessly. The N64 doesn't work great, but I never liked N64 controllers anyway.

If you can find a G-tron four-in-one, buy it pronto.
