This is so true!Exhuminator wrote:It's a slippery slope! I bought a Wii a few years ago just for a few choice titles, and then I found out it's probably the most underrated console ever. I mean there are a LOT of good-to-great titles that got missed by the average gamer due to the shovelware piles on top of them.r0bot j0nes wrote:Thanks guys! Already looking forward to building up a library with this system!

Re: Wii reccomendations?
I agree completely. The Wii is a great system with a large diverse library full of hidden gems. It is also really fun to collect for this system, and some really fun games - such as Spyborgs and Nights - are insanely cheap right now.Exhuminator wrote:Those games are just a tiny bit of what's out there for the Wii. The Wii's got a pretty nice library of highly decent titles hidden beneath the bargain bin waggle crud. I own over 100 Wii titles personally and only a dozen or so are even first party Nintendo developed ones... the rest are all third party efforts. I think in years to come gamers will realize the Wii was actually a bastion of innovative fun after all, and there will be a revived interest in its library. I'm just glad I bought all my stuff when it was still cheap due to the "lol dust off my Wii" hivemind.

It's insane how cheap it is right now. I've got over 100 games and they were all purchased for next to nothing (like $5 or less, CIB).prfsnl_gmr wrote:I agree completely. I also have to mention Klonoa, which is an awesome update to the classic PlayStation version and MUCH cheaper too.
Another great one that probably would get ignored just because it's a Disney title would be Guilty Party. It's an excellent game to play as a group or with your significant other. It's essentially a solve the mystery kind of game like Clue. It's very charming and has EXCELLENT voice acting. I highly recommend it for the OP to play with his GF. My wife and I really enjoyed playing that one together.

Isn't it? This year alone, I have purchased 50 Wii games for about $232:FerretGamer wrote:It's insane how cheap it is right now.
Moreover, there are still 18 games on my want list that cost less than $9 at Gamestop, and I could acquire all of them for the princely sum of $94.

Re: Wii reccomendations?
I want to chime in to agree that the wii is seriously underrated. If I mention wii, many of my friends will respond, "oh yeah, I really liked bowling," but they have no idea the depth of the wii library. I have about 30 games (none of which are wii sports) on my shelf, and I'm constantly finding more A+ games.
Edit: If you haven't played A Boy and His Blob yet, I recommend it.

Need some Fortune Street up in here.
Re: Wii reccomendations?
Goldeneye still has an active online community. But just so you know, it's not a rail shooter. It's more like CoD than HOTD. It's compatible with the Zapper, but I recommend playing it with the Classic Controller Pro (but not the original Classic Controller).r0bot j0nes wrote:Are games like The Conduit and GoldenEye 007 still popular online? I wanna nab those with a Wii Zapper. Any other arcades shooters like HOTD worth recommending?
