Permenantly disable mobile site?

Thing is, it doesn't bring me to the topic I'm on. So if I search for an old topic, I click on the link and it brings me to the mobile site. Then I'm stuck on the page. So I click the little number sign, and then click on the page I want to go to. But for some reason, the little menu just dissapears. Go to the top of the page, try again, it still doesn't work. All that you need to do is fix the page function and add avatars and sigs.

I have no complaints about mobile version on my iPhone, although I agree if I were using an iPad to browse the site normally, it would be frustrating.

I do really wish websites would stop treating iOS browsers are "mobile". They are simply portable computers, not crippled graphic-only browsers on no data plan. Everyone with iOS has at least 500MB a month and a fully functional browser. Just make the site more touch friendly, not nerfed.

My only complaints about the mobile version are when I click the newest page number it takes me to page 1 of the thread.

I usually just go to the non-mobile version.

Anyone figure out a fix for this? It is frustrating how so many sites treat the iPad as a mobile device. I love the mobile site here for my iPhone, but it is not ideal for the large screen.

So far the options are to bookmark the full site or click on the full site button. The first option doesn't take effect when clicking a link from a notification email, and the second option is what I am trying to avoid! It wouldn't be so bad if clicking the button kept you on the same page, but it forces you back to the board index. Frustrating, unless I am already there.

I have opera classic on my phone and there's an option to switch the browser from mobile to desktop. Maybe try that?

Edit it also has a text wrap feature so when you zoom in you don't have to horizontally scroll. Best mobile browser I've used.

Another annoyance is that any links people post to other threads here automatically go to mobile site.

If you have an Android you can just set the browser to always display the full version of websites.
